Where to buy cheap sunglasses?

Hello all - I loose my sunglasses all the time. One every couple of months or so. And then, me or the kids sit on them, etc. I want to buy some cheap, generic ones. In the US I can get a pair for $20 at any shopping mall. Here at the Migros in Zugerland, 60 CHF for something similar (generic). I would pay that or more for something with a brand and of good quality, but not something I will likely loose or damage. Can anyone recommend a store in Zug or Zurich where I can get generic sunglasses at a lower price?

Thanks!

there are a kazillion places to get cheap glasses. Manor, claires. you can def. get a pair for 20 chf. I buy all mine at claires for around 12 chf.

or get a pair that someone forgot on a train in that store in Wollishofen for 10 bucks

Thanks Mary. Never considered Manor for that, and never been at a Claire's. Do you know if there is a Claire's in Zug?

pretty sure theres one in that mall type thing you guys have near the trainstation there.

Cant find one in Metali, the mall in Zug. But I can in Zugerland, which is more near home. Thanks!

There is a lot more to sun-glasses than one thinks.

If you loose them all the time and are just interested in price; then go and look on E-bay UK www.ebay.co.uk and most people will send them anywhere in the world and they are cheap to post because they are not heavy or bulky.

I looked two months ago on e-bay at buying sun-glasses knowing that they were out of season so less demand and hence cheaper.

I would recommend "Persol" because they are quality sunglases (crystal glass lenses as opposed to plastic); not an in the face designer label such as Gucci, Amarni etc etc but worn by the discerning classier people similarly.

I just got some for exactly the same reasons in H&M 7.90chf. not fantastic but they do the job!

If you really want to invest a little money on pretty good sunglasses I recommend the "diesel" brand, you can get them at coop. They start at 50 CHF I think. They have UVB/A protection

Claire's sunglasses, I do not know if they are just for fashion or if they do offer some protection agains UV rays

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that, in Switzerland, you can't legally sell sunglasses that don't offer any protection unless you label them as such. They're probably not as great as the more expensive ones, but better than the naked eye
