Thanks
I am looking for a Swiss flag and an USA flag about 80 by 100 centimeters. Anyone know of a place in the Luzern area to buy these?
Swiss flags are square.
Not the one that I am trying to replace. Bought it several years ago at an outlet near Schoenbuhl in Luzern, but the place has gone. Square of rectangle would be fine.
He was obviously selling a job lot of seconds from Denmark, and has since done a runner.
i found the one from switzerland, but not from the USA

Ok, So Chur isn't near Luzern... but this is a link to a company which custom makes flags here in Switzerland. I received a HUGE swiss flag as a gift many years ago and later discovered (because of the tag on the flag) that it was made here: http://www.fahnen-roffler.ch/
Lucerne? Casagrande!
I buy my flags from these folks .
Here's their Swiss flag (rectangular - 90x150)
Here's their US flag (again, 90x150)
I know it's not 80x100 (sorry! ), but it's 'local', the prices are very reasonable, and they ship fairly promptly.
It is understood that when the Swiss flag is flying with other flags it can be exceptionally a rectangular shape so it fits in with the others. Since the OP wants to fly it with an American flag, it is best to have the same format for the two flags.
Though it does seem a little weird to see a non square Swiss flag.
Perfectly O.K. if used on sea.

This place is in Solothurn, close to the motorway.
They even make flags to your own design.
Flag poles are also on sale.

Google for "Fahnenfabrik"
The Fahnenfabrik in Bern had my flags here in 24 hours. Scary service.
One more address if someone is looking in the future.
