Where to buy protein in Switzerland? (protein shakes for bodybuilding)

Hi,

Do you recommend me iHerb, or do you know a better online shop in Switzerland?

I would buy the ON if I could find it for a reasonable price here.

Thank you.

There's quite a variety; which protein are you interested in? I hear the Endoplasmic Reticulum has quite a comprehensive selection.

Cheaper from iHerb.com, arrives in 3-4 days (record was 48 hours) with their 8usd postage option. I have used them many times, much better selection of multivitamins, fish oil etc too.

10usd off first order with this link http://www.iherb.com?rcode=ZRG608

It is not cheap here... I have used them in the past:

They also have shops that you can visit (same prices as online)

I might try importing next time from http://www.discount-supplements.co.uk but it would have to be a big order to be worth it.

I can totally recommend iHerb, great selection, fantastic logistics, as I said fastest order arrived less than 48 hours after ordering, cheap prices considering the relatively cheap shipping. I have used them at least a dozen times.

Do you know which shipping company they use, and how much they charge for import fees (not the sales tax which I guess is fixed at 8%, but the fee that they charge you for clearing the customs)?

I don't order so much from abroad these days, especially smaller orders because some couriers charge outrageous fees. I once had to pay DHL more than the value of the order itself. For big order it is OK as the fee is usually flat and it works out as a small percentage of the total amount.

I'm afraid they ship through Golgi, I heard it takes forever...

I just tried www.nu3.ch and I'm quite happy with them. I got a cheap bag of pure whey and I mix it up with milk and frozen berries. Or a banana and cinnamon. I'm actually starting to like that stuff

Shipping companies you have a choice but best option is DHL for 8 bucks. Since protein and vitamins are a foodstuff, its only 2.5% VAT so with the import exemption you can buy upto c.200chf product without VAT. I only ever paid import duty once, when my shipment was over 5kg, which triggers duty I discovered on complaining. The site shows you the weight of product you have ordered, which I keep at 7-8lbs to allow for packing. It really is a pleasant experience. If you are going to order please use the referer link and get your 10buck off. http://www.iherb.com?rcode=ZRG608

I personally prefer Scitec, so http://scitecnutrition.ch , but tried Powerfood a few times because they have a shop close to my place. Their stuff is pretty good as well.

I know your looking for protein shakes, but as someone who has just recently been increasing their protein, I could recommend simply trying out Quark.

2.- = 100 g = 55 calories = 13 g of protein. Pretty good deal imo.

There is a shop in Wadenswil that is really good, its right acrossed from the trainstation.

I still always order from Bodybuilder.com though. The prices are good and the cost of shipping isnt awful and I get the kind of supplements I like.

I wonder... No one has mentioned bodybuilding.com store. The choise there is hard to beat. They ship with UPS.

I recommend http://www.vitaminexpress.org/de/

They have a lot of stuff at very low prices, also delivery to Switzerland is free if you purchase for more than 49€ (dont get over 150€ to avoid taxes! make three orders of 60€ instead of one 180€).

I've been ordering there several times and always happy!

Manor has a small but decent selection of protein powder. I've also seen it at Athleticum.

I either go to Singen in Germany or order from NU3.ch they have myprotein stuff when I like and with the flavourless versions can build my own stacks.

I used to order on bodybuilding.com until I got one of those DHL fantasy tax charge invoices that added over 1/3rd of the total order value.

Now I only buy from germany and go get the parcels myself. German prices on ebay & online stores are hard to beat. The exact same product costs almost twice as much here in Switzerland.

If quality wasn't a concern I'd buy british products (and US imports) but I prefer german products (specially those bulk foil packs).

If you fancy a trip to Konstanz there is a bodybuilding shop near the shopping centre where I usually get my protein powders from. The guys who work in the shop are built like beasts. It looks like you could hit them with a 2x4 and it wouldn't phase them.

My current favorite one is https://www.andro-shop.com/

They ship from Germany, remove the sales tax if you ship to Switzerland and do free shipping over 150 eur!

Their prices are very competitive too.

Andro shop. . Yep that name doesnt suggest anything else does it.

Andro, the Greek prefix meaning male, man, or masculine.
