I would suggest https://www.digitec.ch/ as they are selling the 2013 version. Sadly Media Markt and even more so Interdiscount just promote Apple products and so it is often difficult to finding competing products.
I have a Nexus 7 and I am really happy with it.

As I am comparing different phones and tablets, I wonder if anyone would recommend the Sony Xperia if one wants to be on Android?
When I was looking at the beginning of the year, I decided that the Nexus was my best option, and it seemed good value.
However, shortly before I committed, I received an iPad Mini as a gift, which I'm happy with.
The 7" format is practical for portability and I wouldn't have been happy with a normal size iPad - or other bigger tablet, unless it's primarily for home use.
for Android tablets, I would always go for a Nexus for the simple reason that they will always get the newest (and cleanest) Android versions.
Why would that be? Do you love crappy displays? The mini has one of the worst resolutions out there.

Very little is a huge understatement, the Ipad mini does not look bad on paper until you realize that resolution is spread over much more surface (different form factor). There is a reason why Apple lost almost 50% market share over the last 12 months in the tablet area.
i'm not too savy with the technical side. Thanks for the info. Guess I will wait till the new iPad mini with better specs comes.

I bought mine there and the tablet was delivered two days later. No complaints so far.
Plus it's cheaper than to buy it from Swisscom, etc.

Did you get the V2 device from digitec ? I am interested in picking up the V2 device and digitech still shows that the stock will be available end of August..
