I have used the search function but there is not a clear info about this, so any help is appreciated!
They will store your other set of wheels quite cheap too and give you the VAT back.
Our wheels are 22". They arent cheap but sooo much better than France and Switz!
There are probably places nearer, in Weil Am Rhein for example, but I went there because a friend at work knows them and organised it all for me before I learnt any German and the prices were good.
Do they store summer tires?
Are they reasonable price to buy and fit?
Do the return tax?
Thanks
We orignially went to ATU. Cheaper than france but still expensive
Also recommended... apparently cheaper than the above - Reifendirekt.de or the french version pneu123.fr
Yes
There are cheaper places around
Yes
So is the cheapest option ordering on line and getting a Swiss garage to fit them?
Reifendirekt.de do they deliver to Switzerland?
Thanks
I remember that they would not charge changing tyres if you buy the set with them, so it was not a bad deal in the end.
reifendirect.ch would be the site you require as you are in switzerland.
BUT price everything up before blindly ordering, prices vary on tyre size between countries but in general online is cheapest.
if you are after winter tyres order them now before everyone madly rushes after the first snow fall.
For me the price difference was a few francs so ill support a local business instead.
you can get the tyres delivered and fitted as your fitting centre of choice.
I used the guy in prattlen ( Garage René Huber GmbH) was cheapest around, has a good tyre fitting machine and uses additional rim protectors when fitting the tyres so shows a degree of care.
Is there anything to look for in winter tires. Should we get a named brand?
I went to Weil am Rhein yesterday, ordered 4 steel wheels and 4 Good Year winter tyres and I have ended up paying 600 euro after tax, including the montage.
Tyres arrived already today and I have them already on my car now,
Same wheels and tyres cost the equivalent of 700 euro on reifendirekt.ch (the cheapest solution around) and this is not including the montage (more or less 25 chf for each tyre).
Going to Germany is cheaper and faster.
