Where to donate children's clothes and toys?

Hi all

Where is the best place to donate children’s clothes and toys? I could take the clothes to the local clothing recycling bin, however, there is still quite a bit of life on some of these clothes so prefer them to be reused by a good family instead.

And what about toys? I could gratis them on the side of the road but wondering if there is a better option?

I don’t have massive amounts yet - but will do in future, preparing for the time when I can actually clear out the flat!

I give mine to one of the local charity shops or SOS future mamans (which seems to only exist in the French part of Switzerland)

The Red Cross shop is always grateful for children’s toys and clothes.

Put an advert on tutti.ch offering them as gratis, then often families will come and collect. I've picked up some great kids things then also passed them on for free once they were no longer needed.

You can also put it on FB marketplace, it'll be gone in a day.
