we are going to take a first flight ever with our toddler and desperately looking for ways to download cartoons and maybe youtube videos to our kids tablet (in hope that it will save us if everything else fails .
Do you know a website or a place where we could do it?
Why? Most flights these days have on demand viewing of all sorts of things through their inflight systems. Have you asked your airline what they have available on their inflight viewing systems?
On our last flight there was nothing interesting for our daughter even though we did have the inflight system. IMO it is better to be on safe side and have something you know can calm your kid.
Some of us travelled with our kids before tablets and downloads were even invented.
Sticker books, picture books, colouring pencils etc were all part of the kit we travelled with. At least one thing was new (or new to them) as those tended to capture their attention for longer.
No idea how much any subscription costs but maybe its more cost effective for one offs/journeys only, if you could get something like winx DVD ripper on your laptop and buy a load of cartoon/Disney DVDs from a charity store for pennies and rip them in mp4 and save on the harddrive and transfer to the tablet?
A small update after our flights. Videos that we downloaded indeed saved us several times, when everything else was not working. By everything else I mean: coloring books, magnet bricks, favorite books, stickers, toys, surprise activities, walking in the plane, etc. Oh and we also took lots of finger food and snacks.
Interesting to see all discussions here and different opinions. Thanks again.
