Where to download cartoons ?

Hello

we are going to take a first flight ever with our toddler and desperately looking for ways to download cartoons and maybe youtube videos to our kids tablet (in hope that it will save us if everything else fails .

Do you know a website or a place where we could do it?

Thank you in advance.

iLoonyTunes?

Sorry 🤗

Get a 1 month free youtube trial. That allows you to download and use offline videos in the app. Should do for the trip.

There's also this:

I'm sure there are other, similar apps. I've used their Youtube to MP3 converter without noticing any issues.

Why? Most flights these days have on demand viewing of all sorts of things through their inflight systems. Have you asked your airline what they have available on their inflight viewing systems?

Thanks a lot everybody. We ended up using youtube-downloader. Pretty straightforward.

no viewing systems on our flight.

Netflix allow downloading.

Of course, back in the dark ages, we just gave them colouring books or car keys.

On our last flight there was nothing interesting for our daughter even though we did have the inflight system. IMO it is better to be on safe side and have something you know can calm your kid.

Whilst we, as adults, sat back with a good book.

Still do.

Netflix, Prime, Disney+, Youtube Premium and Spotify all have the option for downloading.

Back in the dark ages we took a horse and cart

Granted, it's a Kindle now but still basically the same thing.

And for those who are bothered by kids - G&Ts.

Used to do this when the kids were younger because I agree that often times the content that would be available in flight were not always optimal

I still recall the grainy pingu vids or classic sesame street vids I'd find on YT to put on a tablet

Some of us travelled with our kids before tablets and downloads were even invented.

Sticker books, picture books, colouring pencils etc were all part of the kit we travelled with. At least one thing was new (or new to them) as those tended to capture their attention for longer.

No idea how much any subscription costs but maybe its more cost effective for one offs/journeys only, if you could get something like winx DVD ripper on your laptop and buy a load of cartoon/Disney DVDs from a charity store for pennies and rip them in mp4 and save on the harddrive and transfer to the tablet?

A small update after our flights. Videos that we downloaded indeed saved us several times, when everything else was not working. By everything else I mean: coloring books, magnet bricks, favorite books, stickers, toys, surprise activities, walking in the plane, etc. Oh and we also took lots of finger food and snacks.

Interesting to see all discussions here and different opinions. Thanks again.
