One of our bathrooms is only partially tiled and I'd like to cover the painted drywall with tile for durability reasons.
I'd absolutely love to have something a little over-the-top: I love bright colours and sparkly things. The current colour theme is white with some blue/turquoise/silver mosaic, and I'm thinking it would be awesome to have e.g. turquoise tiles with embedded glitter as a feature wall.
There is nothing remotely close to this at the usual DIY places (Hornbach, Jumbo, etc.) and I'm guessing there might be better selection and prices in France or Italy.
Does anyone have experience/recommendations for places in CH or abroad where I could find tiles with a serious bling factor?
Have used Aubade-Comptoir des Fers in Saint-Genis-Pouilly over in France, they’ll do sales tax for Swiss residents.
Can’t remember exactly how it works, it’s all under one roof but Comptoir des Fers is a regional building supplies shop with their website and this company seems to run the franchise of the Aubade, French a chain of plumbing/bathroom shops across France with another website . Anyway the shop in St. Genis had samples and brochures galore back in 2018.
Check out Sabag and Richner - not sure if they're in the French part of Switzerland but they certainly carry a wider range than your Hornbach's and Jumbo's.
Alternatively, if you're using a tiling company ask who they work as there could be some smaller suppliers locally that could help.
