Which water filter do ya’ll use?

My water tastes terrible despite having a Brita pitcher filter. What are some good recommendations for water filters that eliminate the bad taste?

Move to Switzerland. The tab water tastes fine here, even in areas with very hard water (lots of chalk).

jinomh

It may be a slight overkill for most places, but if you really hate the taste of your local water, then a proper reverse osmosis system will certainly help. Just consider the cost and don't forget to factor in renewables, otherwise you may one day end up drinking distilled water, which is not just tasteless but also unhealthy in a long run.

Coop sells large containers of Vittel. 10l I think.

Do you have a water filter on the main supply? If so the filter is supposed to be changed every year. Many people leave it for years.

My Bosch fridge also has a filter in it for the drinking water outlet. That one is meant to be changed every 6 months but I leave it for much longer.

I don't. The local water tastes great.

Maybe you're used to water that's been filtered through 18 pairs of kidneys first...

Following! Looking for the best filter

The filter you already have is the best - your kidneys.

No need for a filter in Switzerland.

There are many best water filter available on internet. But I would recommend you to use Aquasana EQ-600 . I am also using it from past 2 years and it is working fabulous.

yes and now, I often receive "do not drink the tap water" warning from the Swiss app.

Also, you should see the water coming out of the pipe in my building (old pipes)

A water filter won't help you there then.

Must be tough when living in Brunnen.

I should have say the warning are for different places in Switzerland.

@curley

I don't understand.
