White Wine Distilled Vinegar

Hi all

I was hoping someone could help me out a bit.

I am looking for white wine distilled vinegar.

Does anyone know what it is called in German and can I find it in the supermarkets around?

Thank you

Jeanie

nobody can help??

White wine vinegar - It's probably "weissweinessig" or "essig - weiss wein" - I have seen it at Coop and Migros, maybe look at bigger ones if you're not finding it at yours?

However, if you're looking for "white distilled vinegar" (which is different from white wine vinegar), I have found it at Asian food stores.

Thank you

and do you know what it white distilled vinegar is called....or does it say that on the bootle at the asian stores?

Jeanie

The bottle I have is in English (well, and Vietnamese) - "Distilled Vinegar". I got mine at the New Asia Market in Zurich - they have a Basel store, so maybe you could start there?

thank you again

really appreciate it

Thanks for that, I was wondering the same thing.

I know this is a little late, but I came across this post when looking for distilled vinegar for cleaning. After some research I found that you can buy "Putzessig" from Coop's Oeco line in the cleaning/laundry product department. I hope this help future searchers.
