Whitewater Kayaking Partner Wanted

I just moved to Hinwil Switzerland from Colorado, USA and I am looking to do some WW kayaking. I brought everything but a boat, paddle, and PFD. I have been boating for 12 years and feel comfortable on Colorado class V-.

Welcome to Switzerland. I used to live in (Co.) Red Cliff and was able to launch out of my backyard and paddle the Gilman Gorge down to Minturn. I miss it dearly and was just recently thinking about getting back into the sport. But my wife reminds me that I dont have the time to MTB and WW. So its one or the other. I will have more free time next summer so maybe a possablitly to meet up then. There are some GREAT places here for creeking and from what I have heard is that most areas with IV and V rapids are actually forbidden due to some liablity law (blah, blah, blah) But thats just what I heard so dont quote me. (I think its mostly just the Rhone)

Ahhh, the memories

Never attempted this spot but I use to meditate there. A 5 min walk from my house.

That's crazy. I was just paddling up that way last week. I brought all my paddling stuff minus boat and PFD here to CH. I hear Italy has some great boating. Looking to fire up some creeks while I am here. You should hang up the MB briefly and pick up the boat again. Maybe we can organize a trip soon.

Maybe next year, I still have a few goals left to accomplish this year on my bike. Where in Colorado are you from?

Did you mean you were just in Gilman last week? They had a record winter which means crazy flow this year in the rivers.

Would have been a great year to be back home.

Hey Bellucci,

You still looking to go boating? Let's go get some!

Favorites: Weisse Lutschine, Versazsca, (actually just about every creek in Tessin and the Val Sesia for that matter...) all the side creeks on the Vorderrhein (Valser, Medelser, Sumvitg), Black Forest (when the rains come), Breil, etc. etc. etc.

There's a ton of stuff to do out here.

Get in touch, man! [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])
