Why are ladies in Switzerland so attractive?

I have only been here 3 weeks, but I make it a point to explore the country from Lausanne to Zurich( Lugano next week) nearly every moment I am not working or at work.

I seem to notice that the ladies here are generally really nice looking. Especially in Lausanne. I mentioned it to my German colleague and he thinks so too. There is this study that in cities with good looking ladies, the general population is usually happier.

I think it's because people here generally have a high level of fitness due to hiking, walking, biking, etc. So that helps attractiveness a lot. Plus, the fashions are generally nice too.

To be more precise, they seem on average slimmer, more well dressed and groomed.

That's due to the high caffeine, high nicotine diet that Swiss women seem to be on.

Yes, that is true. Maybe I should start with those two evils to comply with the "slimmer" stereotyp. Or maybe not.

Here, I'm among the largest women I see, I can't really buy any clothes and get some pretty unkind remarks (this, I hope, will put an end to all the hotness requests). When I lived in the UK, I was just normal, with a lot of women being a good deal bigger than myself.

However, as soon as you leave the cities and go to smaller towns like Bremgarten AG, people tend to be bigger and less fashionably dressed. Which is fine, just an observation I made...

I find the Swiss ladies attractive.

However not in the proportion as you can find in other places. Helsinki has been cited, but also we can mention Bratislava where the hot girl proportion is near 8/10.

How do you evaluate the proportions here ?

I'd say Lausanne and Zurich are maybe 5/10... someone agree/disagree ?

I think it depends what you find "hot". I'm not so into the Slavic looks that are the height of fashion at the moment and prefer the more angular features of Monica Bellucci, Salma Hayek oder Gisèle Bündchen. Also, I prefer women to look muscular and healthy rather than skinny to the point of having a gap between the thighs, another thing I've noticed a lot of Eastern European women have. Yes, they are beautiful but often so similar looking, which takes the interest away, IMHO.

I find Swiss women average at best, at least in the German side. I spent a day in Lausanne once and was impressed though. But then again as my heritage is German, I tend to be attracted to people who look less like me.

Again, it depends on your taste, if you like Asian girls, you'll love Kuala Lumpur, if you like your girls tanned and bottle blonde, South Beach will cater to your taste, if pale and interesting does it for you, try the Palais Extra on a Wednesday.

Essentially, I feel that people here put a lot of effort in to how they look when it comes to how well they eat and how much they exercise, rather than dress up to the nines and put on a load of make-up every day. Again, I've only ever spent any length of time in England, France and Malaysia, but when I compare the different approaches to beauty, I reckon Switzerland will get you good results when you take the girl of your choice to a spa, as she'll more likely than not still look good without the clothes and make-up.
