(Open every Friday afternoon, 14.00 to 19.00)
(Open irregularly, check website for 2007 tasting dates)
Please note though, depending on where your visitors are from, and how much they like their wine, you may find that going a little further away from Zürich will ensure that they get to taste better wines....
I know that this isn't a winery, but it was just posted yesterday to the Expats-in-Zurich yahoo group. Perhaps it is of interest...
Wine Tasting - Wines of the Valais
Friday, May 4, 2007
Mark de Wolff is a representative for a major Swiss wine house and
is offering a general introduction to the Valais, the most
diversified wine growing region of Switzerland. Over 40 grape
varieties are grown in the Valais including not only Pinot Noir,
Chardonnay, Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah but also such rarities as
Cornalin, Humagne Rouge, Amigne and Heida to name but a few. Of
course, a tasting of a few select wines will be included; after all
it is what we will be talking about. So come on down and join Mark
for a glass of wine and hopefully you will discover something new
about Switzerland.
