Wonder where all our snow is?

Well, it appears those naughty Canadians have appropriated it.

Note the Moose!

Its on its way. Next week.

Meteosuisse is forecasting 7°/12° for Thursday.

Yeah, we might hit 12-13 next week according to meteocentrale. And also some much needed rain from Wednesday. Been such a dry winter again we really need it.

California dreaming

it's crazy how dry here in Oberwallis is.

the Rhone river is really low and they measured only 30cm of snow in February somewhere where they measure on Simponpass, never that low.

currently, it looks like maybe rain / snow on Wednesday *fingerscrossed*

Yes, much of the snowpack is here in California. Many areas in the Sierra Nevada mountain range have over 5 meters on the ground right now.

And more is on the way .

Toronto had a major snowfall as well.

The Canadians are more than welcome to the snow! I can't stand it in any shape or form! Roll on the arrival of Spring and Summer!!!

I'd like a summer where there's enough water in our rivers to be able to swim in.

Best to stay north of the Alps then.

This may well be a problem this year.

And nuclear power production as a consequence if the big rivers don't have enough water to sufficiently cool the plants. That was already an issue in recent years.

We had water restrictions last year. I think we'll have them this year too.

It was bad in the U.K. last year. We had to walk along a river which is normally canoeable.

Damned cold for this time of year!

Tom

latest forecast is for heavy rain on Saturday, potentially above 2000m as well. I think that's the end of the ski season...

Here at 2000m, there's a good foot of snow to fall this week, with minus temps. Ski season goes on!

Scotland is supposed to be getting it this week, but my sis says there's no sign of it yet. I was there last week and Fife was cold and dreich most of the time as usual, Edinburgh was even colder with rain
