Hi guys!

this is a question for a good friend of mine who wants to come and work in Geneva, or the area as a plumber. He works with his brother and owns his own business in France where they have 5+ years experience each in plumbing. They find it hard what with the charges 'n all and they want to pack up the shop. They want to both work in the region as plumbers.

My questions are as follows

1). How do you go about finding job offers in the plumbing sector?

2). Where do you find the addresses? (in France there is a an organisation where all businesses register and you can contact them to download a list...is it the same in Switzerland?)

3). Lastly, any advise you have would be much appreciated.

In the beginning they can probably get temporary work by applying to employment agencies such as Adecco, http://www.adecco.ch

The agency will give them a short term contract with an employer. When they find an employer they like they could apply for a permanent job. They could also be self employed, but to be an employer they would need Swiss qualifications.
