Work in Liechtenstein and residence in Bodensee (Germany)

Dear all! Is there somebody in this forum who lives in Germany and drives for work to Liechtenstein? I need some advise regarding the taxation and social security contribution topics. Thanks in advance!

I'm missing the point why you are asking this on a forum about Switzerland?

Here is some information (in German) from the appropriate Liechtenstein authority.

@Harrie Nak - there are several members on here who live in SG/GR who work in FL. Liechtenstein has a currency and customs treaty with Switzerland and for most day-to-day purposes it's as good as.

A Liechtensteiner told me a couple of weeks ago that Malbun (FL's only resort) was the "best ski resort in all of Switzerland"... Another commented on a discussion about minority languages, saying how "it's like us, with Romansch".

So where does the Swiss tax and social security come in place then when you're not making, nor paying money in Switzerland? A currency and customs treaty is something completely different.

I thought the answer was pretty clear and there are hundreds of people commuting from Germany to FL daily, although I am not aware of any on here (several from CH though).

However it is true that FL tax and social security are sufficiently different (particularly concerning international agreements) that you can't generalist about FL from Swiss law.

I used the treaties as an example to show how similar the two countries are - leading on to how FL is full of Swiss-domiciled Grenzgänger, who deal with FL's rules. I wasn't pointing to switzerland for tax details, as the analogous "home country" for the op is Germany. And sure there's another forum for that

NOBODY....lol

Talk with the German officials...
