Working in Switzerland with an Australian license

Hi guys this is my first post. I can't seem to find any information online about this. Would my australian mechanics license, certificate 3 in light automotive mechanics, be recognised in Switzerland? Or would I have to start my 4 year training again. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

I found this. Have you had a chance to look at this?

I had not found that! But seems to be just what I was looking for. Thank you so much for your help. Lots of information on there, seems like it wouldn't be a problem for me to transfer my license or have it recognised in Switzerland!

Realistically, anyone can work as a mechanic for a qualified mechanic.

Don't expect the pay to be the same, however.

Thats kind of what I thought but wasn't sure. I mean the pay in Sydney isn't great anyway, as long as it's liveable, I'll be happy. I'd be returning to swiss more for family and friend reasons. I was born I geneva and lived there till I was 18. Not enjoying Australia anymore as much as previously

Car mechanic is not a regulated profession and no such thing as a car mechanic license exists in Switzerland. Hence, there is nothing to be transferred or to be recognized.

Ah right well there you! Thank you for the information. Greatly appreciated
