Zug 'Chicago'

Hello All,

Has anyone ever been to the bar or restaurant Chicago in Zug?

I have driven by it the few times I have been to Zug and wondered about it. Being a Chicagoan it caught my eye. Also living around the corner from

Zug its not very far.

Thx in advance

DX

Chicago is the best city in the world.

Ok, now that we got that out in the air, I have to admit that I haven't been to the bar yet. But some Cham natives were telling me just this morning that it's a fairly chill place, so I'll head over there in the next week or so and report back.

I second that!! Chicago is the best city.

Driver X,,, You thinking of getting out?? Wow,, I am shocked. Hmmm... Maybe I will try that place out too!!! (of course, as soon as I have an opening from my busy schedule)... I will let you know how it is as well

I have always thought of getting out, I'm just very busy as you know.

You dont always know of the places I go either. Some you do but not all

So break free from your busy schedule and go

If there are women around me dont try to cramp my style then

Driverx,,

LOL,, you got issues... as "going out" I wouldn't call Mcdonalds "Hanging out"

That's o.k. I am sure many women dig Mcdonalds, althoughhhhh, I prefer BugerKing.

P.S. its nice you want to try anthor "hang out" spot!!! Props to you!!!

I saw th esign but where is the entrance?

Chicago is behind the Migros Fitnesspark and just before the bridge (turn right down the road and it is 100m down). Alternative route: Around the corner from the Maserati garage.

I have seen it many times, but I have not been there.

Please post the results: Thumbs up or down

I will be popping by shortly. Looks like all the rage in Zug nowadays ;-)

during the this week sometime fo r me

I was at SPAGO in Zug last night. It was REALLY happening.

It is where the old Movenpick was.

You should also check out www.chuckles.ch for the next comedy night. A really great night out!

Could not find it. Too complicated for this simple Cham-ite.

(All right, nobody add 'simple-minded'.)

Been there not the best not the worst, to get there either go around the back behind the Maserati dealer or walk up on the station side. bouncer is not the most friendly type .

By Golly - I got to check it out asap! Thanks for the tip!

I can't comment on the city, but the bar in Zug is not too bad! It's only open as a normal bar for 3 days a week, but they tend to organise various events there such as (English) comedy, open-band nights etc. on the other nights.

It's worth a quick look and definitely worth checking out the events schedule.

Alex.

I've been there quite a few times and I like it. Sometimes it's not very busy, but it's a relaxed atmosphere with some couches and armchairs in a couple of areas. I've also been when it's busy, usually with some DJ or live music or one of their jam nights and I like that too. Don't remember the bouncer, but the bar and serving staff are nice. It is ran/owned? by the same man, Nick, that runs/owns? the Blues Brothers Bar in the old town.

The entrance is on the southside. You can get to it from Gubelstrasse (between the fitnesspark/Monsieur Baguette and the railway overpass) or if you walk on the side of the Masserati, turn left before the tracks/recycling depot (the road slopes down), at the bottom of the slope is the entrance to Chicago.

We went to SPAGO in Zug last night, and it was VERY, VERY good.

My fajitas were almost as good as the original fajitas from Texas.

The wife had ribs which were also excellent.

The food prices are pretty reasonable. What brought the bill up

were the margaritas, which were also very good!

Is it also a Wolfgang Puck restaurant?

We went to one of the comedy evenings and it was a very good night.
