My fridge has a small freezer compartment at the top with a plastic handle on the door of the compartment.
Part of the fixing for the plastic handle recently snapped, stopping the door from closing properly, so I'm going to have to track down a new handle, or potentially a new door for the freezer compartment.
Most of the white goods in my place seem to be made by ZUG, and the fridge is no exception. Does anyone have any idea where these kind of parts can be sourced from?
EDIT: I've checked the ZUG website, but no joy. I'm hoping to do it myself rather than call someone out for such a small job, but just need to source the part...
I would just call the head office in Zug and explain which part you need - when I needed replacement parts for my dishwasher, they were supplied free of charge and posted out to me a post.
I had this replaced this past spring. If I recall correctly, it cost 14fr (not 100%, but roughly). Just call 0800 850 850 and be prepared with the fridge model number so they can send you the correct handle.
Has anyone any idea how I reach the thermostat in a Zug deluxe FN652 fridge freezer? Mine does not seem to cut out at the required temperature and everything in the fridge is freezing. Many thanks.
Fust (the store chain www.fust.ch ) guarantees the supply of all spare parts from any appliance they sell for up to 12 years from the date of your purchase. I would check out a store in your vicinity. (I cannot confirm whether they sell Zug appliances though)
I just got a new Zug piece in December, replacement piece from moving out of an apartment. I received the new piece in 2 days after placing the order. Just make sure you have all the numbers for the model.
Thanks for the replies so far. I shall ring them today. What I really now need to know is how to access the thermostat i.e. where it is located; have I got to move the fridge out (do hope not!). I hope they speak English as my German is good enough to explain the problem but probably not good enough to understand the answer!
We did, and the response was prompt. If the appliance you try to fix is still being manufactured or they still have parts from a discontinued model, you are in luck; othewise you will get no parts. We had one hit and one miss, and the delivery for the on part they still had was prompt as well.
