How does one get a "Zugangscode" (personal access code) in order to file taxes electronically?
I moved to / started working in Zurich in December 2014 so effectively only earned a month's salary in 2014 (on an annualised would be greater than 120k limit). I am on permit B, hence get taxed at source.
I understand the Zugangscode is listed on a memo one receives from the tax office. Im thinking that if I didnt receive this memo, I dont have to file taxes.
I guess the answer / advice Im looking for from the folks on this forum is either
- You can get the Zugangscode from...xyz and then file taxes, or
- You dont have to file taxes
Zugangscode / Password:
(Ger) http://www.steueramt.zh.ch/internet/...ar-textimage_3
Quellensteuer/ Tax at Source
(English) http://www.steueramt.zh.ch/dam/finan...t_qst15_en.pdf
Para. 12 implies you'll be asked to submit a tax form because of your income (if I understand it correctly). If you believe that your Quellensteuer for 2014 needs correction in your favour, you have until Tuesday ! to submit a claim.
Thanks. Much appreciated. Now I just need to figure out how to get my hands on the document that includes this password / code.
