I will be arriving in ZRH by myself with at least 4 pieces of luggages, possibly 5 pieces. I will need some sort of transportation from the airport to the city and would certainly need to fit everything in one car (thinking a minivan might do the trick?). Do I need to prebook if I need a minivan taxi? I am also wondering if there is any luggage service available at the airport? And again if any booking is needed or would I be able to pretty much "hire" someone on the spot? And what's the usualy rate for the luggage service? In the US, it's usually just tips, what is it like in Swiss? Thanks!
frankly no. There will be a line of white taxis outside the door who will organise that you're put into a taxi with enough room.
You can push your own bags to the taxi but consider adding 5 francs as a tip to your journey if you're helped.

here to get to the form for reservations and the prices. You have to order 48h in advance.
thanks a lot. One more question, I need to meet with a UBS representative at the airport banking location for about 1 hour. I am assuming that this will be after picking up my luggages? I can't seem to find an airport map with the exact location of the bank. If the bank is after luggage pick and customs, then I will need porter service from luggage belt to customs, to bank (1 hour wait) and then to taxi, any advice?
depends which bank location you're going to. There is a traditional change/banking facility at departures in terminal 1/A/whatever it's called and there is a more relaxed entity at arrivals in 2/B - which I think is also open within the arrivals lounge.
I'd check with them and mention your large amount of luggage. You're going to work for UBS and be interviewed or simply want to open an account?
If you're coming in on certain airlines such as Swiss you can also get the Fly Rail Baggage labels. These are a combined address label / customs declaration and mean that your bags will be collected by the SBB and forwarded to your local rail station.

got a meeting setup with a representative at UBS at the airport location to open an account. She said that the whole process will take about one hour. I am assuming that this is at arrivals in 2/B? I will go to the bank after I get my luggages, right?
Hi,
My relatives, a family of 4 would be arriving in Zurich from US. They would have around 6 pieces of luggage. Does the Zurich Airport has taxies that can accomodate 4 people and their luggage in one vehicle?
Thanks!
Might get a bit tight, but i think it is ok because most taxis are for 5 people (including driver, 4+1), a common car is the toyota avensis station wagon. But many taxi driver at the airport are rude and unwelcome people who give more work. I gues you would have to ad 20-30.- for lugage to the normal fare.
There also used to be a bus taxi for around 15 people which goes every 30min to Zürich City. This cost is around the same as an taxi but it is cheaper if other people drive with.
But again those taxi driver are rude, unfriendly and many of them don`t speak well english or german and some drive longer ways than required.
Depending where you want to get and to and what time, i would take the train because in the rush hour you might end up in the trafic jam which could take 1-2 hour longer than usual.
between 6.30-8.30 and from 16.00-19.30 it is bad and on fridays from 15.00
