[Zurich] Art courses for adults (music, painting, architecture, ...)

Hi all!

It's been a while since I left school... and I miss learning exciting stuff on a daily basis!

I would love to follow some art courses in/near Zurich, in French or in English . I am opened to several options:

- audience: a couple of persons to a larger group

- time: dense weekend workshops or evening lessons

- topics: classical music, painting, architecture, writing, etc.

- depth of study: overview + in depth studies + practice would be great.

Any ideas....? Suggestions for teachers, institutes, who I can ask for information

Cheers

Eric

Hi Erich, I was wondering if you are still interested in this topic. I am looking to start some art classes hopefully in the next month. What is your level in art (painting)? I am Italian but currently living near Zurich - so classes will be either in Italian or English.

I am an artist, have a degree in art history and I am half way through my Masters. My groups will be small as I want to be able to follow my students as much as possible (2, max 3 people). Do you know anybody else also interested?

If you are an Art History lover I can provide Art History classes too - an overview of the History of Art, or specific topics. I specialise on Italian Art: Renaissance and Baroque - artists such as Michelangelo, Leonardo, Caravaggio etc...but can try to accommodate other requirements.

If there is anybody on this forum olso interested in this, please let me know.

Hi, thx for your suggestion but I am starting music lessons now, and I don't want do too many things at the same time.

If it is fine for you, I'll contact you again when I am done with music or when I can make myself more free time.

Best

Eric

Hi, im interested in some painting classes, and a place where i can practice some figure drawing if anyone can suggest something i would really appreciate it! thanks!

An English woman named Bridget Wilkin holds art classes and open studio time out in Egg, although it is easily accessible by the s18. Her website is http://www.bridgetwilkinart.com/ .

I have no affiliation with Bridget other than being a patron, but I do have one vested interest-she is trying to hold a workshop next Tuesday creating an acrylic and tissue paper collage, but she needs a few more sign-ups before she can move forward. I really want to take the class, so I want more people to sign up for it!

Hi!

Just saw this Ad in GZ Reisbach, Zurich-Seefeld: painting portrait course in English for adults.

If you’re looking for art courses for adults in Zurich, there are many great options! For painting, schools like Kunstschule offer classes for beginners and advanced artists. If you’re interested in architecture, Zurich University of the Arts (ZHDK) has programs that mix learning and practice. For music, there are schools that offer courses in different styles, from classical to modern. Zurich has a lot of opportunities for adults to learn and enjoy art, so check out local listings or visit the websites of these schools to find the best course for you!
