I do not know how far do you stay from Schlieren but there is quite nice (int. folks friendly) sport's centre www.vitis.ch . I saw there were some ads on the notice board lately with people looking for tennis partners, but they didn't say much about their levels. I just guess these must be beginners looking for social game.
I'm a member of a tennis club here in zurich. I have full membership, but really struggling to find a partner who is available frequently. I play football and tennis regularly and I'm looking for someone to play with at least twice a week....the more the better.
I'm of good standard and really looking for someone who can rally and someone who can actually play well with practice. I'm not meaning to be rude of course, but just someone with good technique would be great.
People I just got back from Oz and found that I'm actually not too bad at tennis. I'm in Birmensdorf - Uitikon ZH and there are some nice clay courts down the road just begging for it.
I'm fit and can serve alright and return with a good dose of top spin...
Just 2 months of Summer left, lets get into it !!!
Nah, that's just same impression I get everytime I go back to SA and play at higher altitude 1500m on hard courts. The ball bounces nicer and my mates tell me that I made lots of progress in my game. When I am back here my game on clay sucks again Just joking...
Depsite summer will be over in two months you can still play throughout the season on carpet or on clay inside the bubble. I think www.vitis.ch is quite close to Birmensdorf. If you look for hard courts in Zurich then you must go to www.lengg.ch .
After a couple of unsuccessful trials, I'm still looking for a partner who is available to play regularly. I'm a member of a club here in seebach zurich. rated in R7 category.
I'm looking to start playing tennis regularly again and need a playing partner.
I am of a decent standard as I played alot during my teens and I am a member of the UBS sports club near Bucheggplatz (Oerlikon). They have several outdoor shale courts.
Is anyone a fellow employee who plays there? It is also possible can bring guests (non-employees) who pay CHF 10 per hour, which I think is cheaper than most tennis clubs anyway.
If any one is interest in a warm-up and a game, please PM me.
Hi, are you still looking for player? I would be interested. Not sure of game I can give having had acl surgery in May but I think I am ready to move a bit. not a member but have no problem with 10fr. Level is intermediate, used to be better but with knee and age issues, on downhill slide. weekends may work otherwise, would depend on day of week.
Hello there, are you still interested in finding tennis partners? I am also a member of Guggach and looking for people to play with on a regular basis. Would you be interested?
This message doesn't really fit to the title but may still be of interest to tennis players in the Zürich/Winterthur area. I've played in several clubs in Zürich and Winterthur and have had my problems with a lot of them. I found them rather uninviting and stuck-up. However I've landed in Winterthur club that suits me down to the ground. TC Eulach has over 50% foriegners from all over the world. There is a large pool of average players (R5, R6) who are all mad keen on tennis. It's a no frills club but very uncomplicated and refreshingly un-Swiss.
