Zurich Train Schedule on Xmas 2019

So I'm trying to book a flight that departs on December 25 early morning.

Before I book the flight I want to know if the trains will run on a normal schedule for that day or ......

Train from Zurich to the zurich airport.

I've done a little bit of searching on the web and no definitive answer, I've also looked at the SBB app with no luck there either.

Any help would be appreciated.

The early flight is a much better price then the later flights.

YES - I can take a cab or an uber --- however then the price is more expensive then the later flights

They will run a Sunday schedule, but as the timetable changes in mid December maybe best to pass by the CFF counter to ask...

Thank you

Just go to SBB website and book a ticket for that date/time, the trains running will be the only ones shown

If I went to the proper website (which I think I have) -- this does not work.

The timetable should not change much on a fundamental stretch like HB - Flughafen, both in terms of operating times and frequencies. I would worry only for peripheric lines served by only one S service every hour...

This is a preliminary summary of the foreseen changes:

As plan B there is tram n. 10, which should start operating a little after 5 am.

..........the website isn't working, even when i put in Friday 20 Dec Geenva to Zurich.

Patience old chap, patience

How early? Otherwise get a taxi. Or tram. Early tram ( First at 0500 from HB ) every 15 minutes. Really its nothing to worry about!

I see you didn't read the original question. Why are you wasting my time.

Sorryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.!!!!! Did you get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning!!?

NOPE - just tired of people giving responses to a question that wasn't asked.

So how early does the flight leave? ( if I may ask)

All i need is:::: I want to know if the trains will run on a normal schedule for that day

The trains work every day of the year in Switzerland, also during the nationals holidays. Christmas is no exception, use usual holiday time table.

btw. as mentioned above: some flights are too early for use of public transport, that's the reason for questions above.

I fully understand why you asked the question. I just didn't need (or ask for) that answer.

Normal December 25 schedule. December 25 2019 is public holiday (allg. Feiertag) and a Wednesday. Trains marked with (B), (C),†, and (3) will run on this day as well as all those runs without a special marking which run 365 days a year. For black box numbers see corresponding explanation on train schedule. Trains which only run on Sundays (7) will not run on December 25 2019.

Unfortunately there will be a new train schedule valid from December 15 2019. It will be available on the SBB Website on Oktober 4 2019.

Non-binding schedule is already published here: https://www.fahrplanentwurf.ch/

The current situation is nevertheless a good hint when the first and last train will arrive. In between there a numerous connection from Zurich to Zurich Airport, also on December 25th.

https://www.sbb.ch/en/timetable/prin..._=UTF-8&page=1

From SBB "On 15 December 2019 there is a timetable change. In the SBB Online timetable, connections within Switzerland will only be visible from mid-October 2019.

But you can look at the 14.12.2019, because there will be no big changes."

Just book the flight. For the tiny, tiny chance that for whatever reason you'd not have a connection (as compared to today's sunday schedule) anymore which would enable you to reach the flight, you could always book a cheap airport hotel like the Ibis for that night before (around 80 CHF)

Please oh please don't overload him with more facts.

Have at look at this
