40th Birthday Gift Ideas

Hello all

My wife will be celebrating her 40th soon and I am collecting gift ideas. I would be thankful for this great forum's input.

A few infos...

- She doesn't want a party

- She has "everything"

- She doesn't want expensive jewelry....thank God for that....

- We do not have/want pets

- Sentimental value important (40 of this, 40 of that....?)

- She likes nordic walking, cooking/baking and her iphone

Thanks in advance for your creativity

Cheers

John

How about a trip up into the mountains somewhere that you haven't been before? Perhaps to stay in a small mountain village with traditional cooking in the restaurants.

I had the BEST valentines present in my life on friday, if i could i would have this EVERYDAY for the rest of my life if i could , i would also travel hundreds of miles for it. I had a relaxing massage with an Ice Mask, ok this is what happened, you enter the room where is smell`s wonderful, with a candle burning, you lie down and they start to massage your chest, then your shoulds, a little at the top of your back, then the whole of your face, head, then they put the mask on, while the mask is on they massage your arms and hands, when it was over i just wanted to sleep i was so relaxed, they said i could have the room how long i wanted to have a sleep, (i had to get home for the children, so couldn`t sleep there) when i got home i climbed into bed and just felt so WONDERFUL, and relaxed, i rang my husband and told him he was the best husband every and i loved him to death . he as promised me i can go every other month , it cost`s 120frcs for 55mins, but worth every penny. Again it was the best feeling in the world, sorry for going on, but WOW, FANTASTIC, WONDERFUL, NOTHING LIKE IT IN THE WORLD

I would recommened this for anyone i can`t wait for my next one

Who enjoyed that most, you or the masseur?

Definitely something we'll look into !

Thanks.

Well she was a women, and she is not a lesbian lol , she spoke English, oh yes afterwards i was in the garden after my lie down, and my neighbours where in the garden watching there kids, and they all commented on my skin saying i looked younger

Excellent suggestion. Maybe i can do something like this and perhaps also a pedi/maincure. She'd like that for sure.

If she is an iphone fan, then maybe some other gear from apple?

Alternatively,

book a flight to Northern Africa, a long birthday weekend, and go trekking over there in the nice warm weather, as she likes walking.

Some lovely erotic outfit to let her know she is still highly desirable ...

I had mine done here www.medfit.ch my neighbours have told me to tell there husbands so they can have it for there birthday presents aswell

Find a place where there are great spots for her Nordic walking AND a cute place for regional cooking or baking lessons.

Sounds like an enjoyable extended weekend is coming up.

yes - it is beginning to look like a long weekend

Maybe i will join too

Thanks to all contributors

I gave my brother an Omega, where manufacture date (I checked movement nos) was year of his birth, and I got an Omega certificate to back it up...

This looks like your agenda for the weekend

Wow Deep Purple, doesn't this make you a little jealous

Very much so. It sounds like a great weekend for any couple in love

Many of the local vineyards have a scheme where you can 'Adopt a vine'. This means that for around chf 200, you get a bottle of wine produced by the vine each year for ten years.

I've done this for a few special gifts and the receivers have loved it.

The only downside is that many of the vineyards that offer this service require you to collect the wine in person - so you'd need to check that if you are not planing on sticking around for that long.

Thanks to all for your contributions

I was over the moon to get a new road bike for my 40th

Road biking on the moon, sounds like a good challenge for the future

Not to spoil the thread but I think the combination of outdoor activity and good cuisine is recommended. I would highly recommend a trip to Girona, Spain, beautiful area for outdoor pursuits and great Spanish cuisine if you like that sort of thing. There should be plenty of foodie opportunities in the area.

As far as the 40 theme, 40 km's over 3 days?
