Is that normal that the Airpods battery give out very quickly outside in this weather with minus temperatures? Mine last about 30 minutes.
Mine last at least a couple of hours at least, but the last pair I had eventually ran out of charge quite quickly but that was because they were pretty old. How old are yours?
I have had them for around 3 years. I found them originally lying on the ground so they could be older.
Yest totally normal behaviour for lithium ion batteries and their chemistry. I see the same with my Tesla, in these conditions I get about 100 km less range on a full charge.
Perhaps you could try wearing ear muffs to keep your ears and your airpods warm.

Or just buy Apple EarPods with cable for 15 CHF

As you are getting on I would suggest you consider getting either a new AirPd 2 Pro or AirPod 3 Pro. Not only will they play audio as expected they can reduce or enhance noise. Not hearing aids but aids to heating. They are more expensive, obviously, but cost a fraction of the cost of hearing aids. The new 3 pro will work with phones with Apple Intelligence and provide simultaneous translation of some languages. This is an emerging technology and is not perfect but it can be helpful in a multilingual country like ours.

I will sell you mine for half that, the battery only lasts an hour hence the bargain price.
I still use mine, going strong even after more than 10 years.

Someone asked about the aided hearing features of the AirPod pros so I thought Iād post it for everyone. This is Appleās US site. It says that some of the hearing features are subject to āapprovalā -but I can say they are enabled here in Switzerland.

It doesnāt work because dogs have peed and poo-ed on them. I do not recommend putting in your ears.
