I hate Winter during work hours. When I have time off, winter rocks (still prefer summer myself). Its also a nice time of year to cuddle up and read a good book or watch hippie TV (fire). Also, winter makes spring awesome
I love it but after having spent the majority of my life in States where the experience of winter weather is actually pretty short (southern California, Texas, Hawaii and Florida), I really really start missing the sunshine.
I don't mind the cold (much), it is the gray that gets me down.
Meanwhile, I *love* the snow... particularly here as I don't have to drive in it (unlike when I lived in Chicago).
The grey is only in the lowlands - go up and see sun. That's why I love going skiing you get above the grey. Crisp clear air with warm sunshine. Lovely.
But I also miss the short duration of winter in the southern US. I liked waking up to sun rays most days when I lived there.
i come from karachi and was living in saudiarabia where temperature can go upto +40 in mid december, i am enjoying winter here and i also love when it rains
No, I really, really hate winter. Yes, it's nice to cuddle indoors but it's not we really have an option, as it's cold, dark, wet and nasty outside. Can't wait for spring. I'm from Northern Europe too but no it does not mean that I am used to or should like cold weather, I am still convinced I was born in the wrong place as I'm freezing most of the time.
Siberia in Winter. Oh yes, that gets my fantasies going.
Fur fur and more fur. Fur in front of the fire place ... fur on my skin ... nice drinks, a few slaves. I think I could survive a Winter holiday like that.
