Some of the Pinot Noir from Grisons is considered the best the Swiss have, look at Gantenbein but you're looing at around Chf 120.-- bottlle. Studach is similar, not quite as well finished as Gantenbein, around Chf 60.-- bottle
Some of the wine from Valais is good, they changed their attitude to wine production well before anybody else in Switzerland to concentrate on speciallities and quality rather than quantity
Just hop over the Swiss border in literally any direction and get better ones. For whites will the Staatsweingut Meersburg at lake Constance beat the Zurich one on every single product> https://staatsweingut-meersburg.de/
To the West is the Alsace the obvious choice.
The only Swiss wines I really enjoy are some Merlots from Ticino. But then again are the ones in Northern Italy at least on par, often better at a lower price.
Another red I like is from St Jordern Kellerei. Its called Mitra and is a mix of Pinot Noir and Gamay. Its harder to get. The vineyard sell other wines through Coop but this mix is not easy to get hold of.
For white, anything from Mont Sur Rolle is going to be good.
I like the Fondant and Johannisberg Swiss grapes. Its wine thats nearly fizzy but not quite.
Baccarat from Cave Geneve is a good well priced champagne. Available in Coop on Manor
the metal closing can be opened easily and the wine don't have the bitterness that lots of red wine have.
Initially disappointed with it, turns out it was a little young so we left it alone for a year or so, went back to it and it was fantastic.
What wine do you like, red, white or rose ? Whats your budget ?
Wine for Apero, with a meal, just for 2 or for a large group or family ?
To keep Swiss, here is a link for the Grand Pris du Vine Suisse for last year. And mixed in with the many Valais wines, there are 3 from kanton ZH !!

Zurich wein from local vineyards. Plenty to sample. Latest count is 38 local vineyards - Event is called - Zürcher wein Goin' Downtown.
Cheers ... or should be Prost.
With the wide variety of the grapes produced and the many small, local vineyards, the options are extensive. Switzerland has also produced several artificially crossed grape varieties that I've never seen grown/sold elsewhere. There are also many assemblages/blends to be tried that will be uniquely Swiss.
As an easy to find an alternative to the Chasselas/Fendant, you might want to try a Valais produced Petite Arvine. It's a white grape variety native to Switzerland.
To start, you can just pick something in your price range and see what you think.
I am QUITE partial to Petite Arvine, indeed!
"Bitterness"? Because you expect red wine to taste like sugar?
Some good suggestions above, I'd add some of the Vaudois / La Côte red wines, you can get some interesting Pinots, Gamays etc. The problem - and I can almost hear my permit being torn up - is the price: whatever you can find in Switzerland you can probably find something better/cheaper from abroad.
Have a taste of all the variety and see what you like, with all the microclimates Switzerland has a surprising variety of wines.
Valais Mundi Electus 2010 if you want complex red ~190CHF
In my humble opinion there 's no good swiss wine below ~60CHF, so better head for another country. Even French are cheaper than Swiss wines...sorry.
If you've been unable to find a great Swiss wine under 60 CHF, then you are more worried about price labels than being a connoisseur.
Do you really believe this crap ?
