The groan is because your words already dictate your thought process, which is fine, you sit with the majority of people in the bubble of normal, or as is perceived to be. It's always cosier over there.
There are plenty of facts, arguments, ideas, and more importantly, missing links, unexplainable phenomena that make one question life, where we came from, whats out there etc etc. People don't like to go there because they are not comfortable with it, it is beyond the realms of their capabilities or what they perceive to be real or realistic, it is mocked in mainstream almost to outcast anyone who dares question or suggest it. People who are interested and into it often do not to talk about it because, well, you and others like you. Personally, I don't care what people think of me so i'll happily share what I know with those who are interested.
If you were interested in these things, you would already know about it or be researching and reading up on it.
It is quite plausible, like my opinion on religions, I am following a whole load of waffle and rubbish. Well, so be it, I prefer to be open to it than mock it, and call BS on anything no one really knows the truth about. The same argument can be used against me for religions I guess, only I don't devote my life and way of life to the cause of unknown.
Maybe it was just a big bang, and then micro organisms, that evolved, and the monkies, cave man, human etc. That's also plausible, apart the fast forward button no one has explained that go pressed in the middle of that theory. Or maybe it was the almighty, and the apple fell, and adam and eve, and jesus came and died, then came back and well, i am sorry, aliens are more realistic than that, to me.
Or, maybe, given our arrogance, we simply are the only living things on the only planet with life, in the whole universe. Yeah, probably just that. And of course, other life, if it ever existed, would only resemble human life and everyone would use ships/planes similar to what we can build and design to fly around in, made of metal and engines, using petrol etc, with the gimmicks we make in films. They couldn't possibly have other ways of doing things.
