Chinese restaurants in Zurich

Nope - walk in and order then enjoy - I told you this place rocks

Our guests can enjoy Peking Duck without ordering in advance or long waiting times.

I make a very nice Pico de Gallo salsa. Perhaps I may have to bring my own?

For great Chinese food , which is also cheap , we go across the border to Germany .... You can also get a cheap haircut and groceries at the same time .... The restaurant is called Restaurant Panda in Jestetten , Germany . Not very far from us in Kloten ( Actually on the way to Schaffhausen ) .... Every night , they do a Mongolian BBQ (all you can eat) for EUR 14.90 , including starter buffet and desert buffet . We go there every week .

Oh yes please we can sneak it in, and hide it under the table .

I love duck yummy yummy, we often go to the chinese restaurant in Austria at lunch time, they have a buffet all you can eat including salads, duck, sweet, and sour, chips, veg, chicken, and lots more, and also fruit cocktail for dessert, for 1 adult it costs 7.50 euro, and a child is 3.50 euro, and you can eat as much as you like

That sounds good maybe we could meet up, and go together thanks for the tip, oh, and you can also buy cadburys chocolate in woolworths in Germany

No problem , we should do that soon. I will organise .. I do not need an excuse to go for the Mongolian BBQ .... Don't say cadburys too loud ... My wife might hear it

For Malaysiab-Singaporean-Chinese, the restaurant Singapore isn't so bad and if you had a dish you really want, they'll usually make it for you.

Singapore

Badenerstrasse 530

8048 Zürich Kreis 9 (Altstetten)

It's right by one of the end stops for tram 2.

Brilliant lets do that oh yes 1 last thing for your wife CADBURYS haha

Decent malaysian/thai food can be found also at Tiffin's (near Bellevue) or at Lily's (Langstrasse), the price is even reasonable (quite rare here.....) and they have Tiger beer.

I had really good food at TibetAsia yesterday including yak dimsums

And for really good dimsums and amazing food, I'll let out my secret ...

Oh, I heard about this guy from a friend. I hear he's pretty cool with his asian fusion style. I've been meaning to find out for myself. Thanks for the reminder.

Thanks Nanda! Dim Sum buffet on 3 July wwooohohohooo!! I think I will go there for my anniversary

Cool

But I have to warn that it can be difficult to get a booking ...

Might as well let Google in on it. We are talking about him afterall. I hope you don't truly mind, Nanda.

No, I don't mind. But when I spoke to Anthony a while ago he said that they really didn't want anymore publicity.

They are at max capacity in their little place ... which is why I didn't want to make it search-able.

I know they're already featured in many places - but given that I've spoken to him about it, I feel I ought to respect his wishes.

So has anyone been to Zen to get some dim sum? How was it?

Judging by this:

The Master Chef

Kin Chuen Li left his parents’ farm in the south of China at the age of 13 and began a career as cook in Hong Kong. At the age of twenty, he was already well known as the “King of Dim Sum” and much sought after by the very best restaurants. His career in Europe started at the well-known restaurant “Trois Bonheures” in Geneva. Further positions include the “Dragon City” and the “Oriental Pearl” in Zurich.

and my friend's recommendation it should be good. I believe they do dim sum brunches on Sundays. I have yet to go, because every time we make it out there we get the Peking duck - it is quite awesome....

Hi

Not yet, but we're planning to go for dim sum lunch this Sunday (15 June) and will let you know how we find it...

there's a Thai restaurant jsut across the border in Waldshut

http://www.sawasdee.info/

in case anyone lives in AG and cross the border to shop... there's a chinese restaurant next door, but i hvn't tried it yet...

Here is my feedback on dim sum lunch as Zen rstaurant in Adliwil. We went on on Sunday and for 4 people incl. child we ordered:

- Steamed prawn dumpling, Shanghai fried pork dumpling, steamed pork rice roll, 2 steamed BBQ pork buns, fried prawn wonton, vietnamese pring rolls, plate of noodles with beanspouts.

Was nice to have dim sum lunch for a change and the food was good (except for one dish -spring rolls which were very crunchy) but all in all the food was lacking a bit of sophistication. For this reason I wouldnt say the food was exceptional just a basic dium sum lunch. You get around 3 or 4 dumplings per order at Sfr12 per plate try it if you have a craving or just to compare but I've had better....

Mind if I ask what your bill totalled for 4+1 child?

You mean we'll have to bring our imagination? Or fall back plan on the duck?
