Chneble (ice hockey) schedule around Zürich

Hey guys,

Are you still doing pickup/skating at the Dolder?

If so, I would love to join. I have been searching for quite a while for some skating/shootaround/pickup whatever.

I might swing by for the last session on sunday--although it's not very long. Saturday's session looks more promising, although I will be drinking all afternoon--so chneble could become heated or hilarious!

Oh, and this Sunday Oerlikon has chneble for one of the few times this season:

Full day schedule with professional training for those who are new at hockey:

I won't be able to make Saturday, but let me know if you plan to go on Sunday and I would love to join.

I'm heading to dolder tonight from 18:30-19:45 for some chneble. Have to test out my new skates. Feel free to join any and all!

Hello everyone,

I'll be coming to Zurich for three months starting in March and will be looking for some hockey as well.

I'm curious about the "more serious hockey options". Though it sounds like there is outdoor hockey, are there indoor rinks with full-ice chneble? Would I be able to skate once a week to make it worth bringing all my gear out?

Thanks!

There are opportunities to play chneble almost every day in Zurich. Full-ice chneble is unfortunately a bit limited this season because of the renovation of the one facility, after march it will be limited to once a week at best. If you're interested I can get you introduced to a few Mens leagues who need extra players every so often, but that's hit and miss depending on how many skaters they have from their registered list.

Sadly, most of the hockey (and skating) will be over by March 20th

It is a season that runs from August to end of March for the kids and mid October to end of March for the adults and the free skating.

Always sad when it ends....

For anyone interested in playing this week, it looks like Dolder has a good schedule on Saturday from 20:15-22:15 for chneble.

I think I will head over for that (since I've been on the beach for the last two weeks :P )

I'm definitely interested in subbing for teams - thank you very much! Do the leagues go all year round?

Slightly off topic, but is there an indoor rink for ice skating? Outdoor skating season is coming to an end soon

I could only find an indoor rink at Wetzikon but couldn't find any information on skating season in the spring/summer.

Yes Wetzikon is (at least was, during this past summer). The sessions were only for a couple of hours during the day, including weekends, but the ice and the rink were v v nice.

I believe Baretswil is also open all year long.... it is even further away than Wetzikon..... but there is ice there!

Yes, you are right, some of the figure skating clubs migrate there over summer and they also have open patch / practice ice sessions I called up a couple of times over summer but never made it over.

I'm going Saturday: 20:15-22:30 for some pick up hockey at Dolder.

Feel free to join all!

For those who were interested in more organized hockey: We have a training/plausch game on Saturday the 5th in Wetzikon. Relaxed rules with a referee (no hitting etc, but offsides, icing etc.).

Also the best place to get into contact with plausch team organizers to get on call-up player lists for further games.

Let me know if anyone is interested and I'll send you the details.

Chemmie - I'm assuming this is playing with full equipment?

If not I'd be interested, not this Saturday but future opportunities!

I am injured and out for the season (and parts of last season...) thanks to a not so nice hack / trip.... but I am more than interested in playing next year ... so I would love to get on the call up list....

I have played in Wetzikon a few times with a couple of teams.

Thanks,

-D

Hello everyone,

I'm now in Zurich (Giesshubel) and am looking to sub for teams during the week (possibly weekends), or otherwise some chneble times.

Please let me know your team/anyone you know needs a player - I can provide you my swiss # and email.

Thanks!

Hi! I am a Finnish woman moving to Wollerau (north of canton Schwyz) in June. I was hoping you guys could help me find opportunities to skate or play hockey

I have already contacted some women's teams but I'm interested in pick-up hockey (I guess you call it chneble?) or even men's recreational leagues. I'd love to hear about the level of play in all these. I have played for several years and I'm used to playing as the only woman on a men's team also. However, I'm over 40 now and NOT that fit anymore (haha) so I'm not looking for a very competitive team/session.

Any rink open in the summer? For skating or for hockey?

Also, what area/route would you recommend for rollerblading?
