I am looking to find a charismatic (happy clappy) church in Basel, are there any? Hillsong music or something upbeat with a good message?
Any help would be good thanks.

English speaking? Yes, I heard there is one, but I don't recall the name.
This website has a directory of churches. You can probably find it there:
Let me know if you can't. I'll look it up for you.
If you have any questions, let me know!

Will look into it on Sunday.
Will try again next week. Thanks again guys.
I've never been there. Maybe I'll join you next week, or the following week.
Meanwhile, I went to that site (I r smrt!) and noticed this which I think is quite valuable info as well:

I think folks who enjoy the community of a church may feel more comfortable learning German with others from their community.
Crossroads International - more modern evangelical, not particularly charismatic. English only services. Modern songs.
Oikos International church - Swiss church, preaching (usually) in English, with translation into German, and simultaneous translation into French and Italian. Charismatic, modern worship. Links with IHOP.
There's a German charismatic church in Lörrach run by an American couple that has simultaneous translation into English. It's called "Open Door", IIRC, but I can't find the web site.
BCF has about 100 members, the other three over 200.
Just saw this - did you actually find a good church? I just moved to Basel last Sunday and I am looking for an English speaking modern church. Would love if you could share your experience with me Thanks J
How did you go? Im also new in Basel.
Hey Martin - I am sorry I just saw your reply. I am really bad with all the stuff on the Forum - don't really get it ....
I finally went to Crossroads and I actually really liked it. Will go again this Sunday. I am coming from a 5000 member church we had five different services on Sunday mornings - so it's a huge difference but I liked the pastor and the music was ok too.
So how is Basel treating you so far? Have you gotten use to it? Where are you from? I am still trying to meet new people and stuff which is really challenging here ... Let me know if you went to a different church.
