Well Yes and No, not a lot of faffing about. You open your phone, FaceID, Swipe left, Swipe up. Faretiq says they share ‘anonymised data’ to third parties.

You forgot the blood test and urine sample.

That only occurs if you use the app for your journey to the clinic.

Yea! Right! And Google is your friend.

So do away with your phone and take up yodelling.

I’m much more likely to believe Fairtiq than Google. in fact I don’t use Google for anything, but have been using Fairtiq for over 5 years.

Then Apple is your friend?

Apple doesn’t share my data with any 3rd party.

What you don’t know can’t hurt you.

It is well know that Apple uses themselves data they collect from its users. They do not sell it to third parties. But Googles raison d’être is to sell as much as they can to third parties. Using Apple and not Google is the right choice for me.

And I do have Siri turned off, location locked down except when using a few apps that really need it and other steps limiting how much data I actually share. I don’t mind that Apple can Find my (and my family’s) Phone, in fact I am glad they can. But they don’t let anyone else do it.
