Disappointment with Deindeal.ch

Dear everyone

Am sure many of you have had good experience with them. I am sharing just from my own experience just as a piece of information for you.

Be careful when you buy a deal from http://www.deindeal.ch/ I bought a voucher for two times massage. I called the provider 4-5 times during the last three months of the validity date. Every time, she could not give me appointment as she was always fully booked. The only available time was during office hour. Since I have just started working I can not take day off to go for massage. The last time I called her she said I should contact deindeal as she only accept private massage and not accepting deindeal anymore. Then the voucher expired. Two weeks later I wrote to deindeal explaining the situation and they insisted that they will not do anything about it. After writing back and forth, still the same. They do not care and do not commit to the product or service you bought.

So Deindeal got the money I paid for massage without Deindeal having to pay anything to the service provider.. (since she didn't get voucher from me)

I find this unfair but being full time working mom I do not have energy to fight any further. In the end it's a hundred Franc but imagine if this happens to 100 people a month they would be generating 10,000 franc monthly easily.

For me, it's lesson learnt. I said good bye to them and said to myself 'Pech gehabt'..

I don't know if it's specific to deindeal.ch, but it's not the first time I've heard of a complaint similar to yours. Has put me off buying anything on them.

I had the same with a massage, but deindeal refunded me......maybe you need to ask a bit nicer and be more assertive with deindeal. Having said that, they may well argue that by you refusing to be able to go for something like 85+% of the opening times that it was also your fault.

Expecting people to work out of office hours, for half their normal rate really is not going to happen in CH.

Yeah, Deindeal.ch suck balls. I've pretty much only ever had bad experiences with them. You order goods and they arrive normally about 2-3 months after they are due to come. In one instance the stuff that came wasn't what I ordered and then it took a further 2 months for them to come and take it away and for me to get my refund.

Holiday vouchers are not much better either. I booked a night once in France somewhere through a deindeal voucher. Making the booking was a nightmare as the guy spoke neither German and only very broken English. Then they cancelled my stay the day before (by email) after I'd already arrived by plane in France. Nightmare.

The only positive thing I can say for them is in all instances I did receive a full refund but only after many phone calls and emails. I do try to avoid them now.

I had a similarly unpleasant experience with Deindeal too... I purchased a voucher for an archery lesson, paid about 100 CHF for it. And then every time I called the archery school for appointment/lesson dates, it's always fully booked on the weekend (the only time I am free). Then in the end, I couldn't go or use the vouchers. Deindeal took the money without paying a penny to the archery instructor..

My friends who bought those restaurant deals were never satisfied with the food portion either... As soon as you show them the deindeal voucher, you are almost guaranteed to receive a plate with 50% less food...

The establishments and services for which they are the middlemen are definitely dodgy compared to GroupOn or BuyClub. I bought a flight reduction coupon a few years ago which ended up being more trouble than it was worth. I ordered another coupon and am now struggling to get an appointment with the people in question. Always get the answering machine when calling them and they don't answer their e-mails. Even if this last thing pans out, never again with DeinDeal. A discount for a service that's second rate to begin with isn't really worth it.

thanks for the warning, signed up with them today and i think i have three emails from them already, may choose to unsubscribe

I have a feeling it's not serious at all. I complained about a ridiculously unprofessional beauty salon in Zürich that they are still cooperating with. I described the causes of my dissatisfaction in great detail but didn't get a franc back in spite of their Qualitätsgarantie...

Qualitätsgarantie

a) where else have you pasted your complaint?

b) is the problem yours or the establishment's? You're not flexible enough to take advantage in a way so you're just as to blame.....

c) the system is like selling plane tickets, sell too many and hope someone doesn't turn up in my opinion.....

I just had my first mild disappointment with deindeal...

My aunt's birthday is coming up and TWO weeks ago I ordered a gift for her, so that it could be sent to my home and I could bring it. 2 weeks should have been plenty of time, however they didn't tell me the expected delivery date until AFTER I paid. The date they gave me was 1 week too late, or 3 weeks after paying.

So I messaged them to change the delivery address to the recipient, explaining that it was a gift. I had to message them twice before I could even get a confirmation.

Then today I got an e-mail saying that it was sent, with the Rechnung sent to the same adresse as the gift... idiots...

I have used DEINDEAL on a number of occasions without any issues at all.

However I do know a guy who was caught up in the fatboy (or whatever they are called) beanbag offer - where it turned out there were none - but everyone got a refund (as far as I know).

The end retailer makes very little money off the DEINDEAL vouchers - it often loss leading marketing for the company. The massage company in question may have tried to accommodate everyone with a vouchers - but if people weren't filling the available slots from the day the vouchers were issues there is little they can do.

I think GrumpyGrapefruit once explained that they demand a minimum discount and then take a large chunk of the final selling price themselves, leaving the vendor with, as you say, a small part of bugger all.

i once got a massage that costed normally 100 francs. i paid 33. the masseur told me that from that he gets only 12

we've used deindeal from everything from paintball, travel deals, random gagets and household goods, umzugsreinigung, etc etc etc

1 time we ordered tools that turned out to be total junk.

all of the hotel voucher's we've had have been positive experiences, but we always call ahead to make sure about availability and pet policies before buying.

i can really really recommend the umzugsreinigung deal that we bought...they did an amazing job and fully passed the cleaning part of the inspection.

however delivery does take a long time, and we have canceled a few things because we just didn't feel like waiting any more. but so far we've always been fully refunded...

Hi, I booked a Foto-Session at a DeinDeal-Fotographer. The man was so corpulent he could hardly move or get in positions to make photos from various perspectives. And then the photos turned out to be a disaster (bad lightening ecc.) Could not use one of them. Money down the drain.

I am reluctant to try them out again...

perhaps a little bit off topic but you should consider also:

I just used Deindeal for the 1st time for a restaurant and everything went smoothly. I do prefer Groupon because they have strong commitment to customer service and it is easy to contact them. This is good to keep in mind though and will be wary of future deindeal purchases.

I bought SD card from them in May. When delivery date came in June, they wrote me a message that they are late, and I need to wait a month more. and now I am getting a message that their supplier failed and that it is not possible any more to bring sd card for me. they promised to transfer my money back within short period of time. but wait a sec. I want my percentage back, they used my money for 2 months, and now simply want to transfer exact amount back to me.

When I was making purchase I noticed that I was 76th out of 150 available sd cards, so I assume there were 150 unlucky guys like me.

It is enough, I am unsubscribing. deindeal, you are the total bullshit.

I have used Deindeal to buy vouchers for online stores wich is hard for them to screw up, but i would NOT reccomend buying physical products from them.

I ordered a Lamp, and got emails 2 times that it was delayed. Around 3 months after placing my order, i got an email that they cant deliver at all and refunded the money.

I ordered a gymbag, that also got delayed and 2 month after ordering i get an email they cant deliver the color i wanted but offered a much uglier one or a refund.

My guess is that they have to reach a number of purchases in order to get the good price from the supplier, if they dont they will re-negotiate (dealyed) and ultimately cancel.
