Disappointment with Deindeal.ch

Well i did the mistake of ordering a 2siter and 3 sited chesterfield sofas. the 3 sited sofa came damaged (the leather is ripped at one side). since two weeks i have been trying to get change return. i had to call every single day sending emails etc. The emails are never answered and after i have been calling every day i finally got an offer for a 200 CHF discount which is a joke. i paid 1150 CHF for the order and giving back 200 CHF is a joke as a damaged sofa looks like second hand. This week i have been trying to return them. again i call everyday. now they are telling me to pay 60 CHF because the 2 sited sofa is not damaged and i have to pay returned costs for this although is the same order. Again they did not sent any email just ask me on telephone to pay the money and then they will return the money after they receive the sofas. again this is not confirmed in writing. they just sent me the bank details to pay the money and i did pay them but not details why exactly i am paying this bill. Also the strange thing is that the transport costs for both sofas to come to my house were 73.90. now they say i have to pay for one sofa 60 so i guess the bigger one costs 13.90 to be transferred? i have sent an email with all these questions and called someone who assured me to answer my email but there is no email yet. It is not the first time i have problems with them. i also had problems with vouchers but at the end somehow i managed and the money was not so much. Now however it is 1150 CHF and i guess i would have to ask legal help if i do not get an answer from them. Also the customer care reply in this forum is not sincere. i have been emailing to them an nobody replies, so clearly they are not any better

Ive said it before and i say again, never buy anything from Deindeal.

The company is run by short sighted opportunists with questionable business ethics. Im surprised they've lasted this long actually - we've had several similar business come and go back in Sweden since they simply couldn't deliver the "amazing" deals they promised in a satisfactory way.

You need to remember that THEY DONT CARE if something goes wrong with your order. They are the middle man and will blame their supplier who in turn won't even talk to you and in the end deindeal keeps their commission regardless.

You are right that is the conclusion i am coming at too. I have this legal insurance protekta i wander whether they could help me. There is also this programm kassensturtz at SRF where one can report consumers problems. Does anyone know if there is a consumer protection agency in switzerland? In others countries like uk they are!

As a first step - i would complain on their Facebook page, that might speed things up for you!

Hi Todo,

I'm sorry you're not satisfied with your order. Could you please send me a private message with your email address and order ID so that I can check what happened here?

Best,

Marie

Similar experience recently. Didn't realise their was an entire country unhappy with that group.

Read through the articles listed in this post - thanks for posting articles and links it confirms this is wide-spread practice with these guys.

I have to agree I don't understand how it is possible that this company still exists and is allowed to operate....The tread on this forum alone would be enough for any other business to go bankrupt. Treating customers like this is just outrageous.

I read through entire tread just now and funny how suddenly the customer care jump on the EF and react by posting a message "we're sorry you had a bad experience blablabla" only when someone actually complains publically.

The person complaining on this forum is doing so because they have not had answers to any of their 100 phone calls nor have they received any answers to emails they've sent.

And no offence but in my opinion instead of Asking them to PM you on a forum perhaps answering calls and emails would be a first step....

The problem northdub is that in switzerland there is little regulation. In other countries they wouldnt have lasted a year. The woman of deil deal on the phone yesterday said to me that basically it is all my fault that i did not accept the 200 chf rabbat and compromise with a damaged sofa!! And it is not the only story. The most scary thing i,ve heard is some friends that bought a house and the company left them with the project unfinished and they lost 50000 chf.

Ah ok makes sense now you mention lack of regulation. My god 50k down the drain and unfinished work is def worse than my 149 dentist thinggy

200chf for a 1500frs sofa... go figure - legally there must be some sort of non-performance / faulty performance you maybe can rely on to get them to deliver the goods or refund the cash - its prob in the OR

Right this way, sir! Wo ist der Ausgang? Oh that? We are always looking to improve the customer experience, and we greatly appreciate your suggestion, now, if you would just enter this very dark room, right here, *CLANK* Guet!WiederluegeadieumercitchuUUuus! Come back soon!

actually one last thing I have to say about Deindeal.ch is that they sent me about 100 000 emails within 1 week of registering with them - even after I'd unsubscribed they kept just sending me stuff all the time. Was really annoying - seems to have stopped now thankfully.

Well my update with the chesterfield sofas is that after 2 weeks of negotiations they finally picked the sofas from my house. After 3 further weeks and again me calling 3 times they finally told me on thursday that i will be given my money back. The total amount for both sofas was 1149 CHF (i paid extra 60 CHF for the transportation plus 40 CHF for bringing the sofas in the house and i will loose these money). Today i look at my bank account i only got back 479 CHF. So not at all, all the money and i guess now i will have to keep calling to sort this.

did you pay by credit card?

yes! how should this make a difference?

Better method.

when one places an order online will have to pay with credit card. the better method is get your furniture from Germany, 40 min to the boarder cheeper and no problems! tried it once worked fine i guess it is the way forward.

You have two options:

Use the documentation you have (invoice with price paid, discussions, finally a refund albeit partial and demand the rest of the refund giving them a deadline using a registered letter

Use the same documentation and bring in your credit card company as they should also support you - that's one of the benefits of shopping with credit card.

anyway they seem too be more responsive today, so i have got a response that they will reimburse the whole amount. lets see!

Hi Todo.

I'm sorry for the delay. One of our agent sent you an email today confirming the refund of the second sofa.

Best, Marie

Any recent experiences?

I’ve only discovered the website recently and placed a few orders of physical products. The first couple of small products arrived quickly within their postage timeframe. Now waiting for the others...
