Eurovision 2025

That’ll be old hat by next year; to win they’ll probably need to be a pregnant ‘man’ or some similar sort of abomination.

I’ve never understood why people love to get triggered about other people’s lifestyles even when they have no business together and they’ll never meet.

You vote by not watching/listening, but “disapproving” what some random dude or dudette does on TV has always perplexed me.

I’ll speculate further, people get triggered on topics that are important for them. Why is Eurovision so important for you?

I didn’t actually watch any of it, it was the only the day after it finished on the telephone my neice told me and asked me why the man in Switzerland was wearing a skirt? :joy: Caught me off guard a bit, I just told her there are weirdos everywhere.

You’re welcome…

That’s also pretty gay, but it’s not really the same thing.

Sooo…what’s the problem with being gay?! You want them out of the tv screen? Locked up? You seem pretty obsessed with the topics you “love to hate”…

I’m thinking practicality and high birth rates here… :grinning: “A true Scotsman wears nothing beneath his kilt.”

Anyway, I guess Elvis too looked gay back in the day.

Yes, it would have been interesting to hear more of it.

If Great Britain sends this guy next year probably they will get more than 0 points from the audience.

We were in Edinburgh a few weeks ago. There was a bagpiper playing in the street near the tram station. One day his outfit was complemented with a big rainbow flag.

To me Nemo doesn’t look gay even in the skirt and with long nails.

Sounds like a bit of a paradox but I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Can you be gay if you are non-binary?

Why? If a person says that they are non-binary it doesn’t say anything about their sexual orientation.

I agree. It is quite a weird thing to worry about what someone else is wearing in 2024.

People have “worried” about what someone else is wearing since the beginning of times. I frequently come across with lots of articles about fashion “crimes” and I would even agree some apparels are just bad taste.
However, my let’s say area of interest is women fashion, I rarely really notice how guys dress. I guess genderless fashion gives a few folks the creeps. It is a bit amusing when you think of fashion history and know that things like heels (for instance) were originally designed for men.

The voting is still riddled with bias and through cozenage and ignorance it is accepted.

Bias sexual ?

Well yes, but this is Eurovision.

And the bid winner is…

As much as I think Palexpo is a shitty location and St.Jakob a superior location, I am still surprised Basel actually won.
