Feedback Please - Gonser.ch

Stumbled across Gonser.ch today.

Their prices are dirt cheap for the item that I could use. And plan to use it only once or twice. So if it is cheap quality, no problem here.

Does anybody have any experience with Gonser.ch, positive or negative? Thanks.

Disclaimer: Yes, I understand, you get what you pay for

I hope so, I just ordered something.

With my credit card so I'm really not worried at all.

Bought a bike there. Had to put it together as only the frame came intact. Not a great mountain bike, quite heavy and low quality but it was 179chf instead of "advertised" 549 and that included delivery - just use it for jitting around the city, nothing more, nothing less.

YOu do in this case get what you pay for.

let's see how my XXL dog cage for the car is when it arrives this morning.....it's out for delivery now

How did you manage to browse through the website ? It's all in German....

.

erm, by being able to understand German?

HAHAHA!!! thanks lol that made me laugh

your post too made I laugh

HEHE lol yeah I know that.. But since the post is written on English Forum I thought maybe there's another way

Oh gee, another

it is a bit like westfalia-versand.ch

I have ordered something once there and will probably received their printed catalog every month for the rest of my life

I also bought a bike from them — a city bike, which I assembled and had my bike mechanic do the final adjustments on the gear settings. It's cheap and heavy, but a durable commuter bike that I've been riding to work for a year with essentially no problems.

Thanks all for the feedback. Am looking for a sun/rain shelter, the 3x3 meter ones would serve perfect. Would have to waterproof the fabric before using it, not a problem

Good shopping to all

which is a 50 franc Migros one when it arrives.

LOL, all roads lead to Gonser

Thanks, though the size is perfect... my needs require a free standing one.... with legs. Even if I have to jerry-rig an extra weight or tie-down ropes on each leg.

ah, gazebo you mean?

Well, anyway, I have a Sonnelsegel identical to the one Gonser is selling and it's a Migros-branded item - I'm guessing they were end-of-line last summer and sold off cheap.

Anyway, Gonser's on Ricardo as well as his own site. I'm sure Lenz is a wheeler-dealer

Nice thing about Gonser is that you can use credit card and have purchase protection there. But he sends stuff and it's as advertised

Reviving this ... we're looking at getting an electric pump for our iSUPs. Seeing as we've also bought a house this summer (AND rescued a second dog ) finances are understandably a bit tight ... I know someone who ordered a 140chf one on Galaxus and are very happy with it but it requires being clipped onto the car battery, which I must admit makes me a bit jumpy. I just noticed on Gonser there's one that's about 70 francs, same model as was being sold at Decathlon for the same price but is out of stock. Also it uses a cigarette lighter outlet in the car as the power source, which is definitely my preference over clipping to the car battery.

So ... any updated thoughts on Gonser ?

I bought a large garden table from Gonser during lockdown and was very impressed with their service. The table was a third of the price for the same item in Bau + Hobby and a quarter of what they were charging for it in Migros Do It All. The quality is great, way better than I expected, and was delivered within 3 working days of placing the online order. The Gonser customer services people are very pro-active and keep you up to date with the order, and in our case, phoned the day before delivery to explain the social distancing requirements to make the delivery safely during lockdown.

Personally, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Gonser again.

I keep buying from them on and off over almost a decade. Always happy and customer service is excellent. Once a small kitchen device broke, I sent an email and photos describing the damage and within days I had a free replacement gadget in my letterbox. Recommendable!!
