God Oscar is annoying me “Lando touched me - that’s not fair
”
Carlos Sainz called out F1’s Singapore coverage for missing key on-track action. This article explains his criticism and asks if F1 is focusing too much on celebrities instead of racing.
Yikes!
McLaren’s Lando Norris extended his championship lead over team-mate and title rival Oscar Piastri to 24 points with a dominant victory at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
With just two races left the end of the season is going to be very interesting.
Today’s race result and disqualifications has shaken things up a bit and Versrappen could actually take the title.
Maclaren only have themselves to blame though, some of their decisions and strategies have been rather bizarre at times.
Absolute disaster for McLaren and Norris particularly ![]()
If they lose the WDC to Redbull, the disaster will be hindering Piastri.
Once more, it seems Mclaren thinks Piastri winning is a worse outcome than Verstappen winning.
I’m not convinced about that - they have just become a shit-show in general since they wrapped up the constructors. I also think they are scared of favouring either driver, hence avoiding the double stack. I think they would have avoided the double stack if Lando had been ahead of Oscar.
The double-stacking theory just doesn’t make any sense. There was already about 5 seconds between them, so it should have lost nothing, and even if it did any deficit in the pit-stop would have been easily caught up in the next couple of laps of safety car.
McLaren have lost the plot in my opinion, they seem to have been taking lessons in strategy from Ferrari.
F1 is competitive. If a team wants to win a race, the car (and driver) that has the better position in the race needs to be prioritized over the other car of the team. But Piastri winning is unacceptable, thus hurt the strategy of the two cars, let Verstappen win.
Right now lots of speculation in media about the point combinations for Norrris, Verstappen or Norris to win the WDC. A DNF can change everything, the one who can keep the head cooler next race will win. In order to finish first, drivers have to first finish next race.
Apparently Kimi got vile abuse and death threats on social media after GP and Helmut Marko accused him of letting Lando by. They have since given a “retraction” but not an apology.
Predictions for the weekend……. ?
It’s going to be an interesting race tomorrow.
Impossible to predict the outcome but I’m pretty sure either Norris or Verstappen will be world champion by this time tomorrow.
Controversy ready, Norris overtook Tsunoda with 4 wheels out of the track. And, NO PENALTY for cheating.
Half a mo’–he was pushed off the track by Tsunoda.
Congrats to Norris WDC win.
Indeed. Tsunoda made more than 1 left-right defensive move. I was chopping onions and carrots for cooking. There was only 1 replay in the streaming broadcast. I only saw dust fly live, 4 wheels out on the reply and no more.
