Formula 1

Thanks, I didn’t stray beyond the Beeb article which was pretty cryptic and lacking in substance.

Doesn’t surprise me. Verstappen, Horner and Marko are a nasty trio!

They’ve just said “inappropriate behaviour”. My guess is sexual harassment, but could be anything!

I really hope not, he is one of the more entertaining team bosses alongside the recently departed Guenther Steiner.

Steiner was hilarious. Never got over the clip where he said about Mazepin “This is why no one likes you!” :joy:

According to Bild, he sent inappropriate photos of himself to a female employee!

‘Doesn’t surprise me. Verstappen, Horner and Marko are a nasty trio’

I’m not really a fan, Verstappen is a bit petulant and Marko is everyone’s favourite racist uncle, but are you referring to something specific?

Nothing specific, they just come across as aggressive and nasty. Jos too.

With Jos as his father it’s hardly surprising, he wasn’t a very nice father by all accounts.

Yep, I get it, but Max looks like he will go on to be one of the most successful and richest sportspeople. Max is a brat, Jos is something else, but it seems to have worked. Take Mick, probably a completely different family dynamic and where is he?

I’m sure being a selfish, egotistical brat is what helps Max be number one. There was actually an episode of the F1 Netflix series entitled ‘Nice Guys Finish Last’ which seemed to sum it up regarding Daniel Ricciardo.

Max has a strategy which is: send it up the inside and his opponent either capitulates or there is a big crash. Granted, he hasn’t had to do that recently, but I somehow wish that the cars were made from metal and aluminium and his opponents could the just bang wheels with him without the risk of carbon fibre components shattering!

Don’t forget that Vettel was there and now everyone loves the elder F1 statesman!

He kind of has himself to blame

Strange news. I did see some pics of the Sauber car reveal and had no idea and no interest about sponsors. I was just thinking that the green and black livery looks great.

Just for context, there’s not a single week that I do not see a Casino Baden ad on the street. Ads for online gambling are integral part of the internet experience, but somehow a sticker on a race car is out of limits.

I was listening to the David Coulthard podcast on my way to work and two things caught my attention:

  • On Christian Horner, this is gaining momentum and a hearing is taking place tomorrow. With the car launch happening in a weeks time a decision will need to be made quickly.

  • It sounds like Vettel could be a likely candidate for the Mercedes seat in 2025. He has unfinished business and has never written off racing again

The difference is that Stake is a foreign company while Baden is local.
A stupid rule imo which voted in protectionism under the guise of protecting " gambling addicts". As if no one knew how to use a VPN.

Pre Season testing has started. No surprise, Red Bull are fast. Christian Horner is still in his job, obviously hoping people will just forget about it and move on.

Racing starts next weekend.

And now, a comedic interlude. Charles Leclerc released an EP last week. Yes, that Charles Leclerc.

Music is perfect to go along 1 min Ferrari race summaries

I try to remember jokes about ghostwriting, but don’t remember any

This whole Christian Horner debacle. Comments please. I’m intrigued at the drama - it’s never ending Link
