Formula 1

It’s interesting that’s for sure, I don’t think this season is going to be boring.

Hamilton won the sprint race today.

Curious about what Piastri does with the pole. 8 in the morning is a reasonable hour to watch the race tomorrow

I totally think Yuki should have got that second Red Bull seat and therefore am team Yuki. BUT, I do feel sorry for Lawson right now. That seat is a career killer. Red Bull and Helmut Marko in-particular don’t seem to be interested in nurturing their young drivers at all. They are never given a second with-out pressure, to get to grips with the car. There is already lots of talk about him being replaced and we’ve not even completed 2 race weekends. Yuki and Isack should steer well clear of that poison chalice.

The game is about driving, not standup comedy.

Anyway, the boy loves to trash talk Tsunoda. Last F1 season, Tsunoda 8 points, Lawson 4, in last 6 races while driving the same car. 2025 season, Tsunoda 3 points, Lawson 0 while driving a better car. Anyway, Checo Lawson talks about beating Tsunoda. All while forgetting the new Kimi with 12 points and zero interviews with major media.

Hot air is good for self-promotion, but F1 is about driving and getting points. Maybe Lawson has a future in cars: selling them. Sales people talk a lot.

I feel sorry for anyone in the second seat behind Verstappen, it’s a bit of a poison chalice really.
The cars are designed for Verstappen’s style of driving which makes it quite difficult for other drivers.
That strategy is working for now and will for as long as Verstappen is at the top of his game but they would do well to look to the future a bit as well and nurture the newer talents waiting in the wings.

I have to drive now… quickly read a headline about disqualification of Hamilton, Leclerc and Gasly

Where do Ferrari Fans go for therapy? Asking for a friend :tired_face:

The pub?

Very disappointed to see how Lewis has been treated today…

I’m the biggest Lewis fan, but the car was illegal, they had no choice but to disqualify all 3 of them. Gutted though!

Hands off Liam.
I lost my interest in F1 the day Bruce died. This was shortly after I discovered that Biggles was not real. In those days there was no therapy available for such teenage trauma. All we had was stand-up. I am sure you are a fan of Jeremy, now he can do both badly.

TBH, my opinion is just that. What matters is points.

Also, I just learned there’s a very different approach between Red Bull and Mercedes in preparation for new drivers. Mercedes made their rookie drive around 9,000 km in 2+ years old cars, including a championship winning one. Red Bull just went for 11 races spread over 2 seasons in slower cars. Maybe the difference is there.

Yuki - Liam swap confirmed.

And Lawson’s new concern should be Hadjar.

Oscar Piastri secures pole position for the Bahrain Grand Prix. Can he become the first driver to win multiple races this season?

Mad quali result.

Also, both Mercs just got a 1 place grid drop.

That’ll be a yes then.

Much better race than Japan! I hope George doesn’t get a penalty.

I just watched the race on Channel4 (which always delays transmission due to licencing rules) came straight to my laptop to check. Seems like someone made a sensible decision not to penalise him for technical issues that didn’t give him any advantage, and BTW given said issues I think his closing laps and successful fending off of Lando even more impressive. Well done George!

Apparently Max’s manager had an absolute raging meltdown at Helmut Marko in the garage after the race.

Just shows the difference between team Hamilton and team Max. When Mercedes took a downturn, Lewis was very much “we win and we lose together”. Max and Co, full toys out of pram as soon as RedBull have a few problems.
