I made a mistake of not checking the reviews of a company without ordering... I have a Fust branch near where I live and thought I can just buy online and pick up from the branch. Fust.ch said they have in stocks and if shipment to somewhere is selected, it'll be done the next day.
Of course that wasn't the case.
I ordered an item on 23th of September, something I needed urgently and today, 6th of October, there are no news from them. I tried calling their hotline, which is a joke and went to the branch myself, where I was treated like I was asking something stupid.
So my question to EF is that what should be my next course of action? Should I wait or completely give up hope and call a lawyer?
Did you consider simply cancelling the order? You also don't mention any details about what their reasons were for the delay.
As for getting a lawyer... come on, be serious and stop going into knee-jerk panic mode.
While this is still a factor and I am not saying that it doesn't play a part, we can't just generically blame COVID on all shipment delays... I have received a ton of stuff without any issues from stores both in CH and worldwide.
Lawyers are useful tools. But, would you use one to fight over a TV or a laptop? A few hours of a lawyer are more expensive than anything you can buy from Fust.
Try to cancel the buy from Fust and get your money back. If not possible talk to your credit card insurer about the issue to cancel the payment while it's recent.
Landers don't be a knee-jerker. No-one said that the OP should lose their money but they haven't even told us if they have asked for a refund or not. I highly doubt getting a lawyer in this instance would be necessary.
Don't listen to the nay-sayers. Engage a lawyer immediately, and then just sit back and wait for the punitive damages to roll in. No more working for you!
My experience with Fust AG usually is positive. Did you fill in all the personal details in DE/FR/IT correctly?
My only bad experience was with Wish for item worth $1 that had never arrived, high import taxes imposed by PatPat and I’m still waiting for that book ordered online to arrive
I ordered a mesh router system (TP-Link Deco M9 Plus) from Fust on September 30 at 11.30. It arrived the next morning at 11.00.
I've spent quite a bit at Fust over the years. Their in-store salespeople vary from excellent to a total waste of space. Lately, they have a bigger range of electronic stuff online than in-store.
To the OP if you don't get what you want, when you want it, cancel the order with your credit card...
They are a legit business mostly manned by secondos. I use em for vacuum cleaners and washing machines. Sometimes they have a good deal online for an odd electric device. Unfortunately they do take a decade or two to deliver. But they are dependable and like Interdiscount part of coop AG. However, Interdiscount does deliver relatively quick and the secondos working there know a bit more about how things work. Above all most are friendly and courteous.
I once contacted fust to check how I could replace some kitchen devices, and the guy came and instead of offering what would work best he started offering to most expensive that would require me to cut my kitchen stones
