Gift ideas for women

Is it just me, or is buying gifts a torture? I always struggle with what to get and want to avoid gifts of ‘perfume’, ‘make-up’, ‘handbags’, ‘jewellery’ (already done in previous years). Any good ideas or inspiration? It should be a physical thing i.e. not dinner or voucher etc.

Lingerie.

Maybe he should specify which woman in his life he’s talking about.

Noise-cancelling headphones (comfy, high quality ones - GODSEND!)
Make-up mirror with LED light surround.
I recently read a tweet from a guy whose wife had bought him a pair of top notch slippers for his birthday, which he turned his nose up at first and now is a total convert.
Beautiful pair of leather gloves. People don’t tend to buy them for themselves so they nearly always work as a gift.
Huge cosy scarf.

The most cynical answer. Perfect solution to survive in corporate environments:

I love coop and migros gift cards, easy to use them or just fill the car with gas. But I’m not a woman. So, this is the wrong answer.

This is scary if AI indeed. I guess it solves the revenue problem of these companies but i didn’t expect product placement (yet) in my AI queries.

If you have a death wish.

Well. You liked Castro’s uncharacteristically useful comment that it all depended which woman in his life it was. I made two specific proposals. Phil can now choose the corresponding woman for each proposal.

Really just trying to be helpful here.

His niece, his mother, his mother-in-law?

Cringe. As my daughter would say.

In my experience household appliances are not appreciated by women irrespective of who the recipient is.

OK. Back to lingerie then. First thought is often the best.

Or maybe we should not call them household appliances but “tech gadgets” as bowlie’s chat friend suggested.

Sexy lingerie for the wife, thermals for the grandma. Job done!

A household appliance AND lingerie. She can then decide how she wants to spend her time.

How about a book of ‘Men’s Poetry’?

Himericks.
