Good Asian restaurants in Zurich city?

I am looking for recommendations for good Asian restaurants anywhere in Zurich city.. what's out there? ??

Lilly's on Langstrasse is good to OK, everyday pan Asian stir fry stuff

Wesley's Kitchen at Josefstrasse 48 is amazing, best Chinese food in town

For Indian/Sri Lankan I always go to Bombay Blue on Neugasse.

All 3 are within walking distance in K5 and there's quite a few other good ones in the area.

Wesley's is fantastic - downsize is it is small and you need to book - quite a while in advance - unless you get very lucky walking in.

Good Asian Restaurants:

Thai - Ah-Hua.

Chinese - Saun Long.

Nepalese, Thai, Indian - Tibetesia.

Japanese - Yoojis, Barfüsser

Pakistani - Bombay Karachi

Viatnamese - Saigon, Vietnam

Korean - Akaraka

Malaysian - My Kitchen

Lebanese - Le Cedre

Russian - Restaurant 313

Indian - Malabar

For real? Sorry, but I am more Japanese than Yoojis and I could cook something more authentic Chinese than Suan Long...

I guess it's time to define "good"... for me that mostly means authentic and there will it get very lonely in Zurich. Saigon makes decent Pho... and Ah-Hua is pretty OK.

Lillys. .. not really what I meant.. something a bit more "authentic"

"Authentic" Asian food tastes terrible to our western palette. Fancy a beef & veggie stir fry, tasting of orange marmalade?

I suppose you mean authentic European versions of Asian cuisine?

Walked past Wesley's many a time, seen it getting more and more popular since openeing, but still have not ventured inside. Will have to soon!

The best Vietnamese in Zurich is reckoned to be Asiaways in Oerlikon (less than 10 minutes walk form the station).

For a slightly european take on Asian food, I do like the Nooch chain, and can recommend the Steinfels and Wimbledon (Enge) branches, both of which I've eaten in.

The best Japanese Ramen place is without doubt Miki; the owner's original Japanese restaurant (ramen + few other specialities) in Baeckerstrasse is also worth a visit.

Asia Way in Oerlikon is authentic Vietnamese, actually the best I have had in Switzerland.

Ikoo and Miki (same people) is good for Ramen

My Kitchen, Malaysian in Oerlikon is also really good.

I have tried some of the pot stickers from Wesleys and they are quite good.

Still yet to find a blinding Thai restaurant, Ah Hua is OK imo, but not amazing. An authentic lunch buffet can be found at Chang Mai. and that White Elephant at the Marriot is too bloody spensive! Five Spice is also good.

I prefer to eat my Thai/Asian food generally by sharing a lot of dishes, thats quite hard here as people always want to have their own dish, so I don't try a lot of different things.

Perfect thanks... anything such as lillys or nooch etc I avoid. I don't venture into the city too much so all tips are greatly appreciated.

In Oerlikon, of course there is the authentic Indonesian restaurant.

Fixed that for you. Asian food, just like cheese, red wines or anything else, is something that isnt for everyone and takes experience. In many European cities is authentic food easily available, but Switzerland for some reason is a bit of a black hole for international food - countless of restaurants but hardly any that try to go the full way.

I can get better Chinese food in a backwater like Waldshut than in Zurich.

Chinese - ach'i

especially if you like spicy dishes

Dong Que in Seebach, for good Vietnamese food, the pho is great.

There is an excellent Chinese restaurant close to the Zürich HB called Beyond. After moving here from Hong Kong, it was the only time eating Chinese food in Switzerland that I was totally satisfied.

Beyond, Zollstrasse 20, Zürich 8005, Schweiz

For Thai, the best I've found is The Lemongrass on Neptunestrasse:

I've only tried two places in Zurich - Beyond and Chopstick. I found them okay, but I was not blown away by their food.

I guess it's time for me to try one of the other restaurants listed above!

I am partial to Sweet Basil near Stauffacher.

Thai:

Five Spice (all Thai staff)

Chiang Mai (only lunch)

Tiffins

Vietnamese:

Saigon

Chez Nhan

Asiaway

Viet Thai (Vietnamese dishes good, Thai not)

Korean:

Akaraka

I also endorse these options, within a 5 min walk of Oerlikon station - mentioned in previous posts, in order of preference:

1) Asiaway, Vietnamese http://www.asiaway.ch/bistro.htm

2) Malabar, Indian http://malabar-restaurant.ch/

2) Dapur, Indonesia: http://dapur-indonesia.jimdo.com/

3) My Kitchen, Malaysian: https://www.facebook.com/MyKitchenZurich/

Yen's is a favourite for sushi.
