Good Asian restaurants in Zurich city?

Not sure as to the authenticity, but the food tastes good:

Hong Kong Food Paradise - I go to the one in Oerlikon, but they also have one below Jelmoli, in Sihlcity and I think one or two other locations

Hua Thai - on the corner of Escher-Wyss-Platz (Hardbrücke, about 100m past cinema Abaton)

I can't comment on the one in Oerlikon, but the outlet in Jelmoli seems to make everything sweeter than it should be. The chinese dishes at least, are a far cry from being authentic but hey, 99% of their customers are bankers ordering Poulet suss sauer.

It makes me cringe every time...

The one in Oerlikon also has an Indian place in it which is actually not too far away from some of the stuff I had in Mumbai (just not nearly as spicy) and a Japanese place which isn't too bad either (all you can eat Sushi for 35.- over lunch I believe). You might want to check them out...

a bit further out but the Indian Chalet in Horgen oberdorf is amazing. the sunday buffets are a great deal also. right next to the station so easy to get to.

My opinions specifically for Thai food

- Ah Hua off Helvetiaplatz: Very tasty and authentic, hands down my favourite. Bring a couple of paper towels (the tissues don't cut it for me as napkins) but food is terrific. Take out is fast, seating can be bit crowded at dinner or might have to wait (it's worth it) Very casual, inexpensive. My Nr. 1 Thai in Zurich, try the whole fried fish

- Lemon Grass (bit off Kreuzplatz: More Chinese/Vietnamese decor than Thai, but food is delicious and very good for groups where not everyone wants "authentic" Nice service, comfy seating, more upscale than Ah Hua. If don't order Thai, go with Vietnamese.

- A bit in suburbs: Kang In Restaurant in Dübendorf: Cambodian/Thai, for my money has best Pad Thai and green curry around. Not cheap, but these two things well worth it.

For all (and pretty much goes for any Asian restaurant) - specifically ask for it to be prepared "ohne Glutamat / MSG"

Hmm, now I'm hungry.....

In case anyone has issues finding it, it is called Chalet India. Here is the website - http://chaletindia.ch/

Anyone could suggest a reference where I can find Korea restaurant in Zurich???

There is restaurant Misoga close to Schauspielhaus. According to my Korean friend it is authentic. The staff speaks English and is very friendly.

I can recommend the Singapore Restaurant in Zürich Badenerstrasse. I like the kung pao or the duck menu. In the self-service part of the restaurant the prices are affordable.

Had lunch at Restaurant Ach'i last week and was very impressed. also a fan of My Kitchen in Oilycan - Malaysian.

Try

tiffins.ch in Seefeld

The best chinese I've had, which isn't mentioned yet is Ya Ke on Weststrasse. It's ran by a Taiwanese couple, is barely every busy and is so so good!

My favorite ramen in the city is Miki Ramen on Sihlfeldstrasse. My favorite Thai places are Ah Hua and Five Spice (both have two locations in the city).

I like Kerala Indian Restaurant...

In Seebach there is a small home Korean restaurant/supermarket called Mi Mi Sa, they have very good dishes. A lot of homemade stuff, such as kimchi, Toufu, etc.

Chinese: Restaurant Ach'i***

Korean: 1) Misoga - authentic, nice atmosphere, okay selection of menu, but expensive, 2) Mimisa - authentic, good selection of menu, generous portion, affordable price but don't expect anything "nice/fancy" in terms of atmosphere 3) Akaraka - their menu is limited, atmosphere is nice, price is average.

Has anyone been to Jacky's Wok in Wiedikon? I've walked past it a few times, but it's always been rather empty... The online menu sounds good though.

If you are looking for the Jacky's just off Aemtlerstrasse, it is now an Italian restuarant...

Chalet India seems to be quite hit and miss, and sadly I was only there on a miss day - my girlfriend's Indian colleagues rate it highly (apart from the hit and miss nature).

Tandoori BBQ is pretty good for Indian, although my favourite in terms of value for money (and the closest thing I have found to a British Indian) is the aforementioned Hong Kong Food Paradise.

Akaraka was pretty good, but didn't blow my mind. Five Spice is always pretty good.

very nice thai - Ploy Thai in Uetlibergstrasse

SUPERB sushi place - Makoto Sushi Bar in Adliswil (yeah I know you said Zurich city but this is seriously good)

Asiaway Oerlikon is super and a regular haunt for us and fairly reasonable. Thai friends tell me the best tasting Thai is at the White Elephant, based in the Marriott Hotel.

I'm not an expert when it comes to "authentic" food and I haven't been to many Asian restaurant in Zurich, but a friend recommended Nagasui to me. The food was good, but other than that, nothing too impressive. Now I need to make a list with the ones you all recommended
