I have had some pretty bad experiences in Switzerland before, with the hair dresser saying she could understand what I was askin for then ended up with the back of my head shaved .
So please help.. also one that isnt too exepensive.. maybe about the 60- 70 mark?
Try Coiffeur Bill at Morgenthal in Zürich Wollishofen. Mrs Mathis, the daughter of decades ago retired Mr Bill, speaks good English, is a good coiffeuse, and beside that a hilarious person.
I went to her based on another forum member's recommendation and was very satisfied. She speaks fluent English, has a good sense of what look will work for you, and is very accomodating. I've been back a couple of times now, and have recommended her to a few other friends as well - we have all been very satisfied so far!
I can highly recommend Susanne Bachmann in the Niederdorf. Her prices are standard for Zurich, but she speaks English well and does a great job cutting and styling hair.
For super expensive but very good service I can really recommend the Room of Design at Forchstrasse. There are lots of people working there, and the leader / owner has very good references with supermodels also. It is highly impressive to see his works from Elle, Vogue etc at the wall.
My hairdresser works from home in Adliswil. I love what she does to my hair! She is very concerned about her clients wishes, is excellent at cutting and colouring, and within your budget. I am always happy with her results.
But generally their customer services is shoddy. I tried a number of times to sort out a gift voucher for someone - after a couple of months of "I am working on the design tonight" I gave up.
Apparently my money just isn't good enough for them!
If anyone is looking for a hairdresser a little outside zurich, I would recommend Denise at the art of hair in altendorf. She seems to service the entire local ex pat community, trained in London and is lovely
After a few disasters I've discovered Naome at Toni and guy and she did a great job of hi lights and blow dry on my curly mop expensive but not as expensive as having a bad job rectified
Cutting Edge by Thea Colson is awesome - she's super customer oriented, very attentive, great styles, flexible scheduling, and she's funny! She speaks tons of languages!
