Ok i admit my german is not good .But i have to buy something for my skin because it's too cold and a normal cold cream dosen't work well plus i am having dry skin also.
Please suggest me any good cream.
And one more thing i would like to ask that what is the correct age of using anti-aging cream??
i use kiehl's moisturizer. it's really good, not too heavy and honestly i love all their products. i found it in globus in geneva, but i think there is a small kiehl's store in zurich.
Against cold (and I'm from the place where they just had -30) I can recommend Dr. Hauschka Rose cream or Rose Cream Light. I usually get it online so I haven't searched for it here, but I would guess that the pharmacy is the place to check. looks like this http://apothekenschnaeppchen.com/bin...=1443797&Kc=26
All Dr. Hauschka products are of excellent quality, but I do prefer Weleda. Being male I was the Weleda After Shave Balm and it is superb. The Rose musquée cream is also light and very refreshing.
I have the same problem each winter and do as following:
1. Use a small amount of baby oil or any other facial oil on your face - really only some drops. Currently I'm using the one by Clarins, but Weleda is also great.
2. After a while apply Nutrilogie No. 2 from Vichy (can only be bought at pharmacies).
3. Same procedure in the night
4. For hands and feet: apply a thick amount of cream and wear cotton gloves/socks.
5. Never ever use only moisturizers: the water based consistence only helps to freeze the skin in the cold condition - so it will dry out much more and feel itchy & red.
According to me there is no such thing as anti aging creams. Any dermatologist would confirm that they do not really work. This process cannot be stopped.
Plus they are far too expensive (some around CHF 500 !!!) - a little holiday in Spain or the south coast of France would do much more to provide some proper "anti age".
If you still want some names:
- La Prairie, Helen Rubinstein, Estee Lauder on the expensive end of the scale
- Vichy, Weleda or L'Oreal
You can start at any age. Some would even say around 30.
But I have not tried out those really. My mom started at around 65 with Weleda and Vichy or La Roche Posay.
There was a documentary on british TV last year that investigated anti-aging creams & their claims. It was found that they do work to a certain extent and the best ones are not necessarily the most expensive. The Boots No 7 came out top in the trials & it promptly sold out in all shop!
The luxury branded creams have a lot of scientific research behind them and a highr concentration of "active ingredients" which is why the cost more. But the bottom line is you have to find what works for you, your skin & your budget.
Quotes a Dr. Cheryl Thellman-Karcher, probably the only honest dermo in all of Manhatten because she says she tells her patients to save their money and buy cheaper stuff, which is just as effective.
The thing is there is more to using expensive face creams than just the end result. I am sure that all those women using La Prairie or Creme de la Mer would see the same results with Boot No 7 cream but it would not be the same experience for them. There is a lot of psychology wrapped up in it too, using something expensive can make you feel good so if you can afford it and you like the results then why not?
