Just think if Trump manages to annex Canada this year, the British monarchy would have lost another part of the America’s, 250 years after they lost the 13 colonies. Which will no doubt please his US MAGA supporters.

Or maybe Denmark will agree to negotiate then keep kicking it into the long grass with endless back-and-forths until late 2026 when perhaps there is balance in Congress once again. Or 2028 when Trump’s on his way out of office. Or before all of that if Trump is helped into a catastrophic coronary event by a final Big Mac binge.

Here’s a thought - I wonder whether Trumps insistence in taking over Greenland and later Canada has anything to do with “not sharing information” to any foreign power of the inner workings of “The Golden Dome” 
that is all the infrastructure, staff & everything must be built on American soil and staffed by US citizens together with US Security clearance.
As “The Golden Dome” infrastructure & everything would have to include sites in Canada as well as Greenland to make it function properly, maybe this is why Donald Trump & the Americans need to incorporate these territories into the United States. So no third parties involved in maintaining & activating The Golden Dome !!

The Golden Dome excuse is bullocks. The USA can already install defenses in Greenland as they want. They can also choose sites they can keep secret, fenced off etc without much risk to leaking secrets. In any case, it’s doubtful there would be such advanced technical secrets that wouldn’t already be known by Russian or Chinese scientists.
US already has ballistic missile defence bases in Europe and elsewhere.
This is not about defence. Trump needs to justify it’s existence to their electoral base before the 2026/2027 mid terms
