According to 20min.ch a Halal butchery in Zürich has sold cheeks of pigs as veal since 2010, without the customers knowing about it. Only a food inspector found out about this during a routine control.

Depending on the cuts and how prepared, they are quite similar in taste, and can be similar in texture (depending on the cut), but the veal is more tender.
The the pork jowls were from young pork, than probably little to no difference.

Why would they use violence against a butcher then? The man has been fined, that is the forseen punishment for what he has done. And what has my salary got to do with anything?
Absolutely. I never eat pork and I can recognize it only by seeing it cooked. The taste of the meat is so distinctive (full of fat, horrible taste at least to me) that there is no way possible somebody not to be aware of what they are eating compared to veal.
Pork is favorite food of many, Muslims included. They do eat it but hide from friends etc.
Anyway, it's so irrational and stupid to be forbidden to eat certain food in this day and age, it's ridiculous.
Don't eat pork because pigs eat everything (plastic, rubber, shoes, everything they can find).
Hopefully it will have converted a few to the wonders of pork, that the pig is not a dirty animal, nothing will happen if you eat it, and actually it's quite delicious. nom nom nom, yummy yummy yummy.
