KFC Opening Close to CH

Greetings KFC Lovers,

A reasonable source tell me that we will soon have our chance to get a a bucket full of our favourite greasy chicken in Mulhouse, France. The Grand Opening is on Nov 16th.

This should drop our KFC Run travel time by about 30 mins (Yay!). I'll update the address as soon as I have more info.

For KFC lovers who live in Geneva, there is a place on Plainpalais (close to the corner near the UniMail stop) that has chicken that tastes almost exactly like KFC. And the coleslaw is a dead ringer for KFC slaw. LIB and economisto, probably not worth the trip from ZRH, but if you are ever in Geneva, it is worth the visit for diehard fans.

There are many groups in Facebook asking for a KFC in CH, and I know there are people willing to go from Basel to Mulhouse to have a bucket.

But why isn't it here already, specially when other multinational serving burgers and other meat-related products have been in CH for many years?

My daughter is waiting patiently for a Subway Restuarant to show up in French speaking side of Switzerland. She even signed up for the franchise information to see how to do one herself (little out of her price range ).

This one is a bit far, but I agree on the place in Plainpalais in Geneva. Nice spot and good tasting food, although it has been years since I ate KFC, so not sure if I can say it still is the same.....

Don't wish to look a gift horse in the mouth, however this is a good 6 km from Mulhouse Railway station, with no good transport links. I was hoping for something in the centre of the Mulhouse shopping district.

KFC was here, but went bankrupt under somewhat weird circumstances and this may make a restart difficult

Once I have a car, I will be glad to offer to drive a road trip to a KFC!!!
