L-Dependents Workpermit

Then you need to ask them to produce said regulation as immigration policy is federal and there's certainly no such regulation around.

L dependent is very different to L with work permit.

my husband has an L work permit and we were 'guaranteed' a B on renewal (and our employer will kick up a big fuss if it is not granted)..

I am quite sure you can't just take a job on a L dependent...However, if I actually worked in my field, a prospective employer would probably get me the work permit as my particular training is rare...

Well I just emailed the FMO on this regard, because I'm still lost, I understand that there's a regulation out there, but the reasons I got from there (the work office), were sometimes contradictory, really. The final answer is what I posted before, why they told me that? I dont know...thats why I emailed today the FMO.

Thanks!

Oh, I think we got the two threads crossed over - Christian, I imagine you got an L like us - Non-Eu, open contract, first permit issued L for one year, and then told that we would be 'guaranteed' a B permit on renewal...

As for that other thread about someone on an L (dependent) Non-Eu permit being allowed to work...I'll believe it when I see it!

Hi All,

I am a NON EU with B permit,I am planning my wedding soon , would my Husband be able to work on Dependant B permit.

I assume he would be given a B permit (as I own a B permit now and it would be second renewal of it this year)

Any help pointers much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

hi,

Iam also having resisdent L-permit

Really it happens if employer accept?

Becoz iam also waiting to do the job

its really great hearing this

Unfortunately it isn't (and wasn't in 2007) that easy. You will have noticed that the first quoted poster never came back with details as requested. Currently, with many Swiss employers laying off Swiss and EU employees it is becoming difficult to get new L permits approved or even current ones extended.

Do you mean because employers are not willing to make the commitments to their employees ? - or because something new is happening at the federal level ?

The example in point is: 3 month L permit to be extended for 3 months for an employer which has recently announced significant layoffs. Permit refused.

Hi Rajiv,

Iam in exactly the same situation as u r . My wife is on a long term project in SWZ and Iam searching for a job for myself on a L type permit. Iam an SAP SD consultant. Can u suggest th best way to find a job or suggest few companies tht i can approach.

Looking forward to ur reply

Take care.

Hello everyone, though I research a lot here regarding my doubts, but I am still confused.

Currently I am on dependent L- permit.

My question is that can a dependent l permit holder is eligible to work?

I am not highly qualified or have any IT skill, but I am interested in a part time nanny job, I applied for the same to many families.(through a on line Aupair/nanny agency)

They showed interest in my profile, and now they want to hire me.

But again they too are confused regarding my employment having a L-permit.

Do i accept that I am not allowed to work here at all, or there is any chance of my employment as nanny?

Should I inquire with the Local Geminde?

Please help?

Is there no one to help me out with my confusion, or am I just annoying all repeating my doubts .... ( from the previous post I got the idea that a l permit dependent can not work but there are some responces which say that some of l permit dependent are working)

Please help me.

The family is ready to give me salary as cash as in that case I or they have nothing to do with geminde .

what should I do ?( I really do not want to do any thing which is Unofficial?)

Should I reject the offer?

Please help me ...

tahnks

First, use common sense. If you work under the table, and the Gemeinde

(city hall) picks up on your wrong-doings, there is a fine to pay and

possible loss of your permit. So, is it worth it?

As far as I know L (dependent) permit holder cant work, best place is to go and talk to your local Geminde and tell them about your offers.

thanks , linneighborhood.

I guess the family who are looking to employ you aren't aware of the rules or don't care about them.

Families hiring non-EU citizens as for a AuPair must work with a licensed Swiss agency to obtain the required visa and work/residence permit.

Have a look at this http://aupair-visa-switzerland.greataupair.com/

t

may be or I can not say.. but I told them everything about my visa status etc...
